*Tobio's POV*
My eyes bolted open to the sound of an ear piercing scream that came from the room next door. I immediately rushed out of my room and followed the sounds of whimpering, leading me to Y/N's bedroom door.
My heart beat thumping loudly in my chest, I burst into her room. There she was curled up into a tiny ball on her bed. She was facing me. I could see her hands clenched in fists under her eyes as tears poured out and her body tremors.
Instinctively, I ran to her side to comfort her. "Y/N! Y/N, what's wrong. Talk to me please," my voice cracked as I choked on the words.
Her tremors stopped as I sat her upright and pulled her to my chest. "T-Tobio," she sniffled. "I'm so sorry. I-I didn't m-mean to wake y-you," she stammered out.
"Shhhh," I hushed her. "My sleep isn't as important as you right now." I combed my fingers through her hair, unsticking the damp hair matted to her face from all the tears. I held her face in my hands. They felt cool against her warm, flushed cheeks from crying.
She closed her eyes, letting one last tear drop slide to the end of her curled eyelash as she took a deep, calming breath. "Ready to talk?" I asked, desperately wanting to find out what or who was hurting my sister so badly.
"I had a nightmare about Yuki..." she began. I felt my heart drop at the mention of that jackass. "A nightmare about that day."
"It's been a while since your nightmares about him... Why so sudden?" I asked barely above a whisper.
"At the training camp," she took a pause to sniffle, "A-a boy on the Nekoma team tried to take advantage of me."
"WHAT!" I was furious.
"N-no, it's alright, Tobio," she spoke calmly. "We... we worked things out..." her voice trailed off as we sat in silence for a few seconds. "If it weren't for Noya, I wouldn't have had the opening to escape his grip."
Now curious, I raised and eyebrow and prodded further, "Elaborate, please."
To my surprise, she gave off a low nervous laugh. "Well, he was twice my size and had me pinned to the wall, but instinctively, I called out your name and Noya's... then... Noya showed up. The boy turned his attention away from me and I found my opening to, uh, kick him," she grimaced at her own words.
I felt a smirk grow on my face, "So, that's why he sat out the next game, huh?" My evil grin only grew bigger, "That's my girl," I proudly patted her back and gave her a high five.
"I really am thankful that Noya was there though... I don't know what would have happened without him... that's probably why I had the nightmare again. It reminds me of when... of when Tōru came to save me that day with Yuki," she spoke softly. "After Kuroo dragged his teammate off, Noya knew just what to say and do to console me."
I watched her facial expression soften at the mention of Nishinoya's name. "You like him... don't you?" I questioned quietly.
"Yeah..." I barely even heard the word escape her lips.
"But you're afraid... because of what happened with Yuki?" I assumed.
She simply nodded her head in response.
*Flashback*
(Y/N's POV)"I-I like you, Yuki," the words stuttered more than I hoped it would.
I watched as the intensity in his eyes changed and his lips curled into a greedy smile. "Oh really?"
I nodded my head sheepishly and blushed profoundly.
