*Kageyama's POV*
"Tobio! What'd you do with my scale!" Y/N screamed frantically outside my bedroom door.
Oh Fuck.
As she shoved the door open, I stood there frozen in my half buttoned up uniform, blankly staring at her like a deer in head lights.
Oh fuck. Oh fuck. Oh fuck. She's pissed.
"What'd I do?" My voice laced with confusion, but my face displayed a hint of fear.
I rarely ever see her angry with me.
"Tobio," She stated firmly. "Where is my scale?" She asked flatly, desperately trying not to explode.
"I - um - I - uh-," I was stuttering like an idiot. Pull yourself together Tobio! I took a deep breath in to calm myself. "Look Y/N. I think it would be better if you didn't obsess over the scale as much. Your weight is just a number. It literally doesn't define a single thing about you."
She stared at me, silently listening, arms crossed over her chest.
I continued, "If your weight is a main reason you can't get over your eating disorder, then I figured it'd be better if I took it away for some time," I explained. "I know it won't be easy, but I believe this will be for the better."
Silence.
"Y/N speak to me, please," I begged.
She looked up at me with those big blue sad puppy dog eyes, her lips pursed into a slight pout.
Without saying a word, she slowly walked over to me and collapsed face first into my chest. Tightly gripping the sides of my uniform, she let out a frustrated scream and some inaudible mumbles.
"Big girl words please."
"Blehp."
Okay seriously, what am I supposed to do?
The only thing I can do. I wrapped my arms around her and spoke as delicately as my apathetic tone could achieve, "There there." I gave her a pat on the head.
Still clutching onto my shirt, she stared up at me with glistening eyes and raised an eyebrow. "That's the best you got?" She shook her head and let go of my shirt.
She walked back to my door frame and laughed, "I was mad at you when I came in." She sighed. "But really I'm grateful for what you did. Just afraid and a little anxious without the scale." She grimaced a bit at the last part, but returned to a smile as she left my room.
I finally buttoned up the rest of my uniform and finished getting ready.
I sauntered downstairs to grab a quick breakfast before leaving, but was surprised to find our father sitting at the kitchen table typing away on his laptop.
"Dad? Why aren't you at work?" I asked curiously.
He paused his typing momentarily to glance up at me. "I've taken the day off for family matters, so they're letting me work from home instead."
"Family matters?" I questioned.
"Yes," he let out a heavy sigh. "I set up an assessment for your sister." He closed his laptop, focusing all his attention on me now. "For day treatment at an eating disorder clinic. So instead of sending her away, she will receive nine to three treatment on weekdays."
I let his words sink in before speaking. "So... she won't be in school then?"
"That is correct, but she will be here when you get home and she'll have weekends too," my father explained.
