Chapter 33: Cover Up

*Y/N's POV*

Eight water slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool later, I'm soaking wet and absolutely FREEZING.

I tried to pull my damp hair up into a messy bun, but my numbing hands were shaking far too much.

"Here," Yuu's soft voice cooed from behind me as he draped a fluffy, dry towel around my shoulders.

I gave up on tying my hair and clenched the edges of the warm towel, pulling it tighter around my trembling body.

"Thanks Yuu," I said sweetly, grateful that he pays attention to my needs better than I do.

"Let me try?" he asked.

"What?" I questioned. "You mean my hair?"

He nodded, biting his lip nervously.

"Alright, give it a shot. Lets see what you got," I handed him the hair tie and a brush, then turned back around.

He carefully swept up my hair, clenching it into a ponytail with his fist. He took the brush and evened out the bumps underneath the ponytail. Fumbling with the hair tie momentarily, he managed to stretch it between his fingers and wrap it around my bundled hair. Twisting and folding my dark locks once more, I no longer felt hair tickling the back of my neck.

Once Yuu released my hair, I turned around to face him. He stood there, proudly smiling, his hands on his hips posing like some super hero.

"Take a look," he handed me his phone on selfie mode, smile never leaving his face.

"Wow! Yuu I'm impressed! Where'd you learn to do this?" I exclaimed, still admiring his work through the camera.

Instead of answering me, he joined me in admiring myself and sneakily snapped a photo of the two of us.

"Yuu!" I squealed.

"What?" he asked innocently. "You looked so cute... and we looked even cuter together." He flashed me a closed eye smile. Damn it. Can't argue with that adorable face.

"Hey it's about lunch time. Wanna grab something to eat? Maybe get some ice cream after?" Yuu asked, treading carefully with the topic of food.

I nodded my head eagerly, actually feeling quite hungry for once. It's possible that by getting my body used to eating meals three times a day... my hunger cues were slowly growing back.

And as suggested, after eating (Y/favorite food), we shared a three scoop bowl of ice cream, loaded with all our favorite toppings.

I leaned back against the metal chair, letting my body slump as I rested my hands over my swollen stomach. Luckily, I still had myself covered up with the towel Yuu lent me earlier. But underneath I could feel how bloated and rotund my stomach felt from actually eating a normal serving of food.

"You okay?" Yuu asked with a concerned face.

I simply shook my head 'no'. Feeling the tears well to my eyes, but refusing to let them slide.

"Stuffed?"

"Mmm hmm. Mmm hmm." I pouted.

"Wanna go change into that one piece now?" Yuu asked, copying my facial expression.

"Yes. Please."

My stomach felt so stretched to the point the I had to walk half bent over, clutching onto my aching tummy.

Chuckling at my despair, Yuu came over and swooped me up in his arms. He looked down at me and spoke, "Meh, still too light."

He tossed me up a few times in his arms, scaring me half to death. I clasped onto his shoulders, desperately trying to get him to stop. "Okay okay I get it! You can stop now."

He chuckled again, but bent down to leave a gentle kiss on my forehead and sincerely apologized, "I'm sorry for scaring you, Y/N."

He dropped me off in front of the women's restrooms with my new swimsuit.

He actually did a decent job at picking out girl's swimwear. Highly impressed with my boyfriend's skills at the moment.

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, smoothing down the curves in my body. It was a shiny black one piece, but the back dipped low and cutouts lined the sides to lace up the suit.

I looked kind of... sexy.

I tugged my hair out of the bun and shook my head, letting the dark waves shake free.

I tilted my head to the side and placed a hand on my hip... definitely sexy.

Feeling refreshed, I happily skipped out of the changing rooms. I spotted Yuu standing under a tree, scrunching up his face from squinting in the sun as he scrolled through his phone.

I tapped him on the shoulder and took a step back, "Whadya think?" I bit my lip, in an attempt not to smile too hard.

He placed his hands on my hips and beamed at me, "You look just as gorgeous as you always do."

I went up on my tip toes, and this time I placed a kiss on his cheek. His hand came up and gently touched the spot where I kissed him and his smile widened.

"So where to next my princess?" he asked.

"Hmmm. I kind of need a break from the rides," I thought for a second. "Oooh! We passed by an air brush tattoo booth a few times. How about we try that?" I asked excitedly.

"Sounds good to me," Yuu responded.

"Oh, but let me pay," I suggested.

"Eh? No!" Yuu complained.

"But you didn't let me pay for the park tickets," I whined.

"So?" Yuu raised his voice slightly.

"Oh hush you. Let's just go. I don't mind paying." I grabbed his hand and dragged him over to the booth.

We flipped through the binder, trying to decide on something we liked. Should we get different tattoos? The same tattoo? A couple's tattoo?

That's when I saw it. I knew EXACTLY which tattoo to get.

I nudged Yuu with my elbow and pointed at the page I was on. "Perfect," he responded as he gave my shoulder a squeeze.

I chose a crown tattoo with the words king and queen plastered across it. King for Yuu and queen for me of course.

I had my tattoo airbrushed between my shoulder blades. Yuu had his on the left side of his chest.

"Eeee this is so cute. Let's take a photo!" I exclaimed.

In order to get both our tattoos in the photo, Yuu faced forward holding the camera, while I had my back slightly to the camera, but turned my head to look behind me. (*A/N: Peep the cover photo tehe y'all are such a cute couple!)

After our tattoos, we headed back to the lazy river and rode one more water slide. It started getting late so we packed up our stuff, washed the chlorine out of our hair with the outdoor showers, and headed home, exhausted from a long, but exciting day.

It felt nice to spend the entire day with Yuu. I got to see so many sides of his personality. But most importantly, I saw how deeply he cared about me and admired me no matter what.

Around him...
I didn't need to cover up who I was.
