*Y/N's POV*

For the bus ride to the Interhigh pre-lims, I was sitting with Noya yet again, my head rested on his shoulder as he gently stroked my hair. Even though our date went so well... we haven't really discussed our feelings for each other. I knew how I felt about him, but I was too afraid to know his true feelings for me.

When we arrived at the school, I lifted my head from Noya's shoulder, not speaking a word to each other as we exited the bus. I was feeling kind of off today, lost in thought, and worried for the outcome of the events ahead.

That was until I walked into the gym and spotted him. Tōru Oikawa. A goofy, flirtatious boy. An amazing friend. And most importantly, the boy who rescued me.

*Oikawa's POV*

"TŌRU!!!" I heard a female voice shriek from across the gym. At first, I just assumed it was one of the girls in my fan club, but realized it was odd for one of them to call me by my first name. When I whipped my head around to the direction of the voice, a wide grin spread across my face as I spotted her. "Y/N-CHAN!" I shouted right back.

Sprinting towards each other, I reached my arms out wide to her. She jumped into my arms wrapping her arms around my neck and legs around my waist. She feels so light. I feel like I'm holding a child. I think... I think she's even lighter than she was in middle school. I spun her around, pulling her tighter to my chest. "It's been too long, Y/N-Chan," I whispered in her ear.

Squishing her face against mine, she responded, "I've missed you so much. Why don't you visit me more often, idiot?"

"Now that I know you miss me too. I won't leave you alone," I laughed, gently placing her back on her feet. Her body felt so fragile in my arms.

I looked down at her and asked her the question I've been pondering, "Hey Y/N? How have you been? Are you doing okay?"

"What?" Her face paled. Yup. She's hiding something.

"Tell me," I bent down to her height and worriedly looked into her dark blue eyes. I could always tell when something was wrong. She was like a little sister to me. I cared for her a lot. Probably just as much as Tobio-Chan cared for her.

"Let's talk outside the gym," she spoke quietly and seriously, her eyes wandering around the room.

"Trashykawa! Get your ass back over here! Stop flirting, we have to practice," Iwaizumi called to me.

"Meet me in the cafeteria during lunch. We can talk then," I told her before running back off.

*Y/N's POV*

I was leaning against a wall of the cafeteria, contemplating how much I should or shouldn't tell Tōru. Like, of course I trust him... but then that means...1...2...3...4! Four people now would know about my condition. That's a lot of pressure. What if they expect too much from me... can I handle that kind of pressure?

My worries were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. "Y/N-Chan," Oikawa cooed, waving a hand in my face. "Wanna grab something to eat before finding a place to sit?" He flashed his fabulous smile at me, that would make all his fan girls melt in an instant. I just nodded in response and followed him to the line for food.

"You know, you're lucky Y/N-Chan. Girls would kill to have a lunch date alone with me," he smirked. I just rolled my eyes and smacked him in the gut.

Clutching his stomach, he whined, "Y/N-Chan! That's mean! I don't deserve that after everything I've done for you," he pouted.

Tapping my finger on my chin, looking to the ceiling, I agreed, "You're right... but that doesn't give you authority to be arrogant," I placed my hand on my hip, giving him a sassy look.
