A/N:

A fantastic image that viria13, my favourite DeviantART-ist, made. Snily, yay! I mean, as friends, no more. Poor Harry, though: "Wait, my teacher had a crush on my mum?"

Oh, also, just a disclaimer: I don't own viria13's pic, nor do I own the song "Trouble" by Taylor Swift. >:D yeah there's a scene with it.

Severus found the page number. "This was were I left off, it's about Puffskeins. Strange thing, actually, the Slytherin common room was filled with them."

"That was Potter and Blacks' fault," Lily said. "They were plotting it earlier in the Gryffindor common room."

"That makes more sense," Severus muttered.

Lily leaned against Severus' back as she took in Hogwarts at autumn. The sights, the smells, it was a brilliant feeling ...

"See, she's down there with Snivellus," James pointed out of the window. "See? See?! Are you guys even listening to me?"

Outside in the common room, just by the portrait hole, Phoenix and Willow Grey were going crazy.

"Once upon a time, a few mistakes ago, I was in your sights, you got me alone, you found me, you found me, you found me. I guess you didn't care, and I guess I liked that, and when I fell hard you took a step back without me, without me, without me. And he's long gone when he's next to me and I realise, the blame is on me. 'Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now, flew me to places I'd never been, 'til you put me down, oh! I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now! Flew me to places I'd never been, now I'm lying on the cold hard ground! Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble. Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble. No apologies. He'll never see you cry, pretends he doesn't know that he's the reason why. You're drowning, you're drowning, you're drowning."

"JARED, CAN YOU GET THEM TO SHUT UP?!" Sirius yelled.

"I'M TRYING!" He yelled back over the noise. "THEY USED A TIME-TURNER TO GET THIS SONG, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO SHUT THEM UP!"

"TELL THEM IT'S A NICE SONG BUT THEY NEED TO SING IT SOFTER!" James shouted.

"OKAY!"

"It is a nice song, I like it," Peter said as the door closed, the racket downstairs slightly softer.

"We know, Peter, but we don't need it now," James said. "Besides, it's hardly '70s-styled, is it? That's why Time-Turners can be dangerous, what if this song changed the world too early?"

Suddenly, the noise downstairs stopped.

"Jared must've done it," Sirius said.

Remus groaned. "Ugh, what woke me up? I had a dream about this song and two people singing it really, really loudly ..."

"No dream," Peter told him. "Two of the Grey sisters - the Ravenclaw and the Gryffindor."

"Come on, let's go congratulate Jared," James hopped off his bed, his friends following.

" - but I mean, really, Sev and I could hear you from the Black Lake! How about you go back to the Ravenclaw common room, Nix, and as for you, Will, I'll be taking the disc from you."

Jared stood in the corner of the common room, shifting his weight from one keg to the other as Lily ranted on. Outside of the portrait hole stood Severus.

"Job well done," Sirius looked at Jared, who was adjusting his Gryffindor-red school tie.

"Hey Evans, when're you gonna go out with me?" James called across the common room, eliciting sniggers from the gang of Gryffindor boys and sharp looks towards Lily by several pretty third graders.

"Shut it, Potter," Severus hissed.

"Ooh, you nasty Slytherin, get out, OUT!" The Fat Lady was rambling on, despite being powerless to do anything about it.

"Oooooooooooooh," the Gryffindor boys chorused, watching Severus and James.

"Remind me why I'm friends with these idiots again?" Jared sighed, sitting down beside the only one of the group who had sat down with a book.

"You aren't with your Death Eater friends, Snivellus, they can't protect you," Sirius growled.

"Sev, come on, don't bother with Potter snd Black, they're fools and you know it," Lily tugged at his arm.

"Merlin, I hate him," Severus muttered, his eyes flashing with anger.
