"I'm not leaving for winter," James said.

"Same," Sirius nodded. "Well, I mean, duh. I hate my family, they hate me back, as if they'd want me home."

"We're staying too," Remus said.

"Yup," Peter nodded.

"What about Evans?" James asked.

"She'll stay this year," Remus told them. "Fifi mentioned it to me not long ago."

"What should we do?" Sirius asked.

"Break the sewerage system," Peter suggested.

"Fill the Slytherin common room with knockout gas," James shrugged before his eyes widened. "Hang on. Spiders, of course! We put spiders in all the girls' dorms in Hogwarts! They'll be so freaked out!"

"Not happening," Remus said. "When it comes to spiders, hands off."

"Awwwwwwwwwwwww, Moony ..."

"Don't 'Moony' me," Remus snapped. "You guys are going to bed now, no more scheme-devising. Oh, and also, James, Sirius, I was told you were plotting to hex someone by my private intelligence. No hexing! It's bad enough you've done it to first years, I won't put up with any more!"

"Moony, this is different," James said. "We were discussing Snivellus."

"Lily hates it when you bully him around, almost as much as she hates it when he's off with his Death Eater friends!"

"She'll thank us one day, Moony!"

"No, Prongs, no more. If you won't apologise to him, at least stop doing it. You and Padfoot have been annoying him for four years straight, come on! You're fourth graders, doing it just proves you're immature!"

And with that, Remus turned the lights off, and the dormitory was cast into the shadows.
