Chapter 19 : Hunters' Attack

"WHAT should we do?"
"Can we just stay here and close the doors shut so those freaking hunters won't get through us?"
"They can smell alarmed peoples so just calm all your shits. We would be safer if we just act normal."
"Maybe we can find another way out of here. Hindi pwedeng maghintay na lamang tayo rito dahil baka matunugan nila na may taong nagtatago rito sa loob."
"Pwede bang tumahimik na lang kayo?"
In spite of the hot atmosphere inside the small empty washroom, we managed to stay calm and cool by staring at each other. Hindi ko maintindihan kung ano ang pinagsasabi nila but the thing is, we have to hide from those horrifying monsters they so-called monsters.
"Paano kung hindi sila umalis? Does it mean we have to stay here forever?" tanong ng unti-unti nang naluluha na si Ovary habang nakasiksik sa tabi ko.
One thing I've missed from being with my friends is witnessing the vulnerability and the capacity of each one to stay sane no matter how fucked up the situation is. Seeing Ovary like this makes me feel relieved knowing I'm really with my friends and her genuine softness is the proof that they're real and they're with me already.
"Sino ba naman kasi ang nagsabi sa inyo na magtago tayo rito? The glass doors are even closed so they won't be able—"

Hindi ko magawang makisali sa usapan nila dahil hindi ko maintindihan ang nangyayari. Ang tanging alam ko lang, ang mga hunters na nasa labas at tinataguan namin ngayon ay maaring kasamahan ng psychopath na nakita ko sa kagabutan at siyang hinabol ako.
"Hindi ko alam kung bakit, pero lagi na lang akong kinikilabutan sa banyong ito. Remember how Heshella encountered a ghost here? Pakiramdam ko, totoo ang sinasabi niya," Pancreas uttered as she turned around her glance.
"Saka na tayo matakot sa mga aparisyong 'yan. They won't hurt us, unlike those freaks," giit na lamang ni Arcen.
Arcen is the only guy here and for sure, it really feels awkward for him to be with us. But we definitely had no choice but to blend with each other especially we are all facing this disaster we don't know when will end.
Ilang saglit pa'y narinig naming tila ba humihina na ang mga tunog na nanggagaling sa chainsaw. Akmang lalabas na sina Liver ngunit kaagad itong pinigilan ni Arcen dahil kailangan daw muna naming makasigurado na wala na talaga ang mga 'yon sa labas.
