Chapter 3- Another Inportant Message

They both received a message from Amy.

My place for lunch today, something important to discuss.

Lili woke up to that message and groaned.

she made coffee for herself and started scrolling through instagram.

and then cole called her.

" Hi" she said picking up the phone, and started to walk around her living room.

" hey, want me to pick you up?"

" ya, sure thanks" i say.

" so what do you think it's going to be this time"

" last time it was getting to know that i am getting married" Lili replied, and he laughed.

" i don't think it can be worse"

" maybe, but they are our parents, trust me, they can make it worse"

" aha true that"

" anyway, what time will you stop by?"  Lili asks.

" ummm i guess by 12.30?"

" okay sure"

" be ready and don't be late" cole said making her laugh.

" okay bye" Lili said and hung up.

Cole came and picked her up, and they reached Amy's place.

" hey mom" Lili said and hugged her.

" hi amy" cole said.

" hi you two" amy said.

" cole your dad will also be coming over in a bit" amy told cole.

" what?! why?!"

" because he's your father cole, he has all the right to be here"

" will dad be coming mom?" Lili asked.

" he's at a very big cruise, if he gets some clients, we can help come out of the loss"

" it's all about money isn't it" Lili scoffed and Cole saw she was about to break into tears.

He held her hand from under table, rubbing the top of her hand from his thumb.

and then the bell rang.

" i'll get it" amy said. 

" hey it's okay" Cole whispered and saw tears had formed in Lili's eyes.

" nothing is okay" she whispered back and a tear fell.

he quickly wiped it.

" you are stuck with me" she said.
