Chapter 1 - Arrival
As the plane touched down in Haneda Airport, Tokyo, I looked out the window. This was finally the fresh start I have been waiting for. Hopefully, the kids in Japan won't be like the kids at my high school in Korea. Long story short, teenagers can be really mean. I had been mercilessly bullied there. But maybe, just maybe, I'll make some friends here, or at least I'll be left alone.
I retrieved my bag from the luggage carousel, and found the driver my company had paid to take me. From here, it'll be five and a half hours to get to the suburbs of the Miyagi Prefecture. We talked for a few hours before drifting into a comfortable silence. I read the email from my old manager again. "Karasuno High School." The crows. Sounds fun. My eyelids are getting tired... I think I'll rest for a minute.
