Chapter 13 - Third Gym

For the rest of the day, I avoided everybody to the best of my abilities, only interacting with them when I had to. Except for Ennoshita. I avoided him at all costs. I felt really bad for reacting the way I did and totally losing my cool. It wasn't fair to him that I just went from zero to one thousand. I want to apologize, even though I know things probably won't be the same anymore. I shouldn't have even told him in the first place. I walked into the cafeteria for dinner.

"Hey, (Y/N)!"

"Hey, Lev." He and I are on good terms now. He's a nice kid, he can just be sorta childish sometimes. It's alright, though.

"How was your day?" He asked.

"Fine." We each took food and then sat down with the others. I had gotten really close with Nekoma over the course of the training camp, especially Kuroo. I listened to everyone else talking.

Kuroo had been staring at me for a few minutes. "(Y/N), are you good?"

"Yes."

"Okay." Judging by his face, he didn't believe me. "After dinner, you should come to the third gym. Kenma, Lev, and some others will be there, too. It'll be fun!"

"Okay." I stood up. "I'm gonna head over now."

He frowned and grabbed my arm. Not roughly, but enough to stop me. "Not yet. Eat more first. You haven't been eating as well as you should be."

I sighed. "Kuroo, I'll get fat."

"No, you won't."

"If I get fat, I'm blaming you."

"Okay!" He grinned at me. I frowned and sat back down with him. We finished dinner together. "Ready to go?" I smiled and left with him. The night had already cooled a bit. He took my hand. Is this his way of telling me something? I looked over at him. He was still walking like nothing had changed. "They're probably waiting for us. Come on!" He started jogging to the gym, still holding my hand. I ran after him. We arrived out of breath and gasping for air. He held open the door to the gym for me.

"Thank you." :)

"HEY HEY HEYYY, KUROO!" .

"Hey, Bokuto!" Kuroo grinned. "Bokuto, this is (Y/N), manager and medic to Karasuno. (Y/N), this is Bokuto, the captain of Fukurodani. He's one of the top spikers in the nation."

"You bet!" He winked and made finger guns.

"Hi, Bokuto." I couldn't really think of anything else to say. Just then, a guy wheeling a cart of volleyballs came out from a storage room.

"Akaashi, look! I made a new friend!!" He waved to the guy excitedly. Cute.

"That's great, Bokuto. Hello, Bokuto's New Friend. I'm Akaashi. It's nice to meet you."

"Hello, Akaashi. I'm (Y/N). It's nice to meet you, too."

"So, should we begin?"

"Sounds good."

They practiced for a solid hour before Lev was visibly exhausted. I decided I should call a water break for him. Kuroo didn't look like he was going to be stopping anytime soon.

"Hey guys, want some water?"

"YES." O-oh. Alright then, Lev.

"I guess we could take a quick break," Kuroo answered. They came over to get their water bottles. I sat down on the ground. Lev took his and then collapsed face-down in a corner. *mildly concerned* "Yeahhh...I don't think he's getting up anytime soon."
