Chapter 39

The babies are now 5 months old. Ashton and I feel safe leaving them with the others so were having our first date night in a while. I woke up to a note laying next to me.

be ready by six and ill be there to pick you up.

P.s. dress fancy ;)

He tried drawing a winky face but it turned out awkward. I checked my phone and it was 2, plenty of time to get ready. I started by taking a shower, after i threw on lazy clothes and went to go eat.

"I really hope thats not what you're wearing on your date." Riley laughed behind me.

"Why, do you know where we're going?" I winked.

"Maybe." She shrugged her shoulders before laughing. "No i dont know where you're going but i do know its somewhere really nice so you have to look nice, lets go shopping." She smiled brightly.

"For what?" I laughed.

"A dress duh!" She smiled again.

"Riley i only have 4 hours to get ready." I put my cereal bowl in the sink.

"Then we better get going now shouldnt we." We had a stare down until i finally caved in.

"Alright go grab my keys." I said slipping on some shoes.

"Yes!" She yelled running upstairs. Bri poked her head out of her room and walked downstairs.

"We're going shopping?" she asked excitedly.

"I guess." I shrugged and she squealed.

"Jordynn come on we're.." she began but Jordynn came out already dressed.

"Way ahead of you." She said brushing her hair. "Come on Riley we only have an hour or so." Jordynn yelled up stairs.

"Im coming, im coming." She said running down stairs. Just as we were about to leave i remembered my kids. The boys were at band practice so no one could watch them and there wasnt room in my car for their car seats.

"Guys who's going to watch Jakob and Mckenna." I said.

"Ill do it." Calum yelled from up stairs. "I didnt go to rehearsals today, Ashton told me to stay home and make sure no one ruins your suprise so ill watch them." He smiled.

"Thanks Cal." I yelled back and opened the door. "Lets go." We came back around 4:30 with a new dress, shoes and only an hour and a half for me to get ready. That includes hair and make up. I was planning on curling my hair tonight but theres no way now... unless.

"Hey Bri, do you want to do my hair." Her smile got even bigger.

"OMG YES!" She squealed and ran upstairs to my bathroom.

"Hey Jo." I said and she poked her head out of her room.

"Wanna do my make up." Her reaction was the same as Bri's. "Riley." I said and she was at my side, "come help me pick my perfume." I said taking my hand in hers. After an hour and 15 minutes my hair was done and my make up looked great. I now had 15 minutes to get dressed. Riley handed me my dress and heels. "Hey Ri, can you zip my dress." I said squatting down so she could reach. It was a dark blue, tight fit, high low dress that i wore spakly, silver heels. "Thanks, which perfume did you pick?" She tossed me a bottle. "Ooh killer queen by Katy Perry, my fave." I winked at her before laughing and putting it on. "How do i look?" I asked before giving a small twirl.

"You look hot." She licked her finger and touched it to me making a sizzling sound.

"Good because i only have 5 minutes to spare." I laughed walking out of the room and to the nursery. I had Riley put the babies to bed hoping it'd be easier on everyone. I kissed them goodbye and walked down stairs where Ashton was waiting for me.

"Holy shit." Luke said not taking his eyes off of me. Ashton hit his arm hard and he winced in pain.

"You look great babe." He smiled making me blush.

"You dont look too bad yourself." i smiled. He was dressed in a full tux with a tie that matched my dress, probably Calums doing.

"Ready to go?" He asked holding out his hand. I grabbed it, intertwining our fingers and walked towards him. Even in heels im still shorter than him.

"Ready." I smiled following him outside to a limo.
