Chapter Nineteen: Before It Begins

"That's a lion cub. Your pet! You have a lion cub as your pet!"

[Vanadey Forest, City of Gaea⁠—]

NAKATINGIN KAMING lahat sa lion cub na ngayon ay maayos ang pagkakahiga sa lap ko. We still can't believe that he belongs in the legendary class. At kung paano ko siya nakuha sa beginner quest lamang.

"Maybe it's because of your luck, Sol." Hex said. "You have an incredibly high luck. It greatly affects the drops that you can get. Baka kaya mo siya nakuha."

"Either way, that's a good thing! This early in the game, wala pa naman siguro ang nakakakuha ng ganiyan. We can use that to our advantage," Feyre smirked. "Especially in this upcoming event."

"But he's still a cub..." sambit ko. "I don't think he can properly fight yet."

I looked at the cub and pouted. He looked so cute and peaceful in my lap that it's so hard to see him fighting.

"He'll grow eventually. That's a legendary pet, Sol. He's gonna be more powerful." Feyre commented. "Why don't we have a mini battle? Poro versus Leo?"

"Can your pet even make an attack?" tanong ko.

Feyre looked so shocked at my question that she stood open-mouthed for a few minutes. Hex gave a deep chuckle after seeing her. Lumapit siya sa'kin at tiningnan ang lion cub.

"You're not going to name him?" I looked at him, confused. "You should. Having a legendary class pet is risky. Strong players will battle you for him."

"But won't they still notice it because he's a lion?"

"I think there are lion pets naman po. Depende lang sa rarity at class." komento ni Minerva.

I frowned a little and looked at the cub. I'm really bad at naming pets and I would usually just choose the simplest ones. Name. Name. Name... Well, there was that movie that I liked once.

"Sige, I've decided on his name." I glanced at the still-shocked Feyre. "Pakibuhusan ng  tubig ang pusa para magising."

"You're getting evil, Sol! Nasaan na ang mabait kong kaibigan?! I cannot believe this..." Feyre began her drama but I tuned her out.

"Okay! Let's stop talking and start fighting!" sigaw ko at tumayo. "We'll have a two-on-two battle-"

"Wait, so talagang makikipaglaban tayo sa isa't-isa?"

"Yes. And for the first round, it's Hex and Feyre versus Priamos and Minerva."

They seemed perplexed at what I said. Kumunot ang mga noo nila at tumingin sa'kin. Tinaasan ko lang sila ng kilay. What are they wearing those dumb faces for?

"Wait, bakit gano'n?"

"I paired you with the person you fought along the longest with." sagot ko sa tanong ni Hex.

"Pero we don't have any damage po! Priamos excels at defense while I'm mainly for support!" Minerva exclaimed. "Hindi po ba't dapat kayo ang naglalaban?!"
