"The treasure's which coulda'be our salvation, gone! By these plundering weaklings! Kill them all!"

WE RAN like our lives depended on it.

Well, it did depend on it. Sino ba naman ang hindi matatakot kung may mahigit singkwentang pirata ang tumatakbo papunta sa'yo, sword raised and eyes burning with anger?

When the captain, the pirate who laughed with me, roused an attack, we all scrambled to our feet and ran. They were fast, immediately catching up to us. I slashed my sword, dahil ako ang huli sa'min, stunning the pirates for 3 seconds. Just three seconds but it was enough for us to make an escape.

Although Priamos is our tank, he looks so scared right now and armorless.

When the stun effect wore off, I unleashed my Thunder skill, knocking the pirates up and stunning them once again. It gave more damage because of my Slayer title, increasing by 71%, but with the pirate's skills and level, it was not that effective.

Eyes similar to midnight bore into mine, his long black hair darkening his features even more. He was Hiraeth, but at the same time, he wasn't him. His usual nonchalance is gone, the hands in his pockets replaced by the hands in his sword. And there was a sense of unfamiliarity and threat in his eyes.

One that made me shiver.

But before I can study him more, someone shouted below,

"Bilis! Talon, Sol!"

Hanging on the small opening at the side, I looked at Feyre once before looking back again. I narrowed my eyes at her as a question, but she just waved her hand at me and grinned cheekily.

Oh how to be a rogue and have fast reflexes to escape things easily. She's always been the first one to initiate fights and the first one to run away.

Our boat was smaller than theirs, and less magnificent. It was almost half the size of the pirate's ship, but it's speedier, gaining distance between the two before the pirate made their chasedown.

"Fuck!" Cord cursed out loud. "We don't have the key! And we're freaking running away!"

"We know where the key is though," sagot ni Voldmir. "It's with your brother. So, technically, we're only running away."

"Bakit ba napunta sa kaniya 'yon?" tanong niya at tumingin sa'kin.

I opened my mouth to answer but a large wave came crashing towards our boat.

The waves became rougher and rougher. It came without stopping, continuously crashing towards our boat that we fear it would completely be thrown about. Sa likod namin, I can clearly see the lights and the sound of the pirate's ship, known to the storm but unaffected because of their large vessel.

It was us who suffered.

Every wave threw us about the boat. It turned left and right and fearfully dropped up and down. But before we can fully reached it, another wave came crashing down us, effectively pushing me out the boat and making me shout for the first time.
