'Did your love for me decrease so much so, you must distort my visions of amour with any other man? Because despite your knowing actions, your piercing words and distasteful demeanour, I escape your rule of terror, not only stronger, but wiser'

Charles Dickens? Nope. Jane Austin? Ha, no. Emily Brontë? Pfft, I wish. This book (in the making) was mine. It wasn't quite Steven king, but it was getting there... hopefully. Only 5 chapters were done to a good enough standard, the one I was writing now was the hardest. Willow, the main character, had just escaped from an abusive relationship, and 4 years later went to visit the man in jail. His broken, painfilled eyes didn't neccasarily hurt Willow. She actually found comfort knowing that all the years she spent suffering had finally caught up to her predator.

The book made me extremely happy to write. Despite the late nights and thousands of tears shed from the more emotional chapters of the book, I urged to write more. From about the ages of 16-18 I was an aspiring writer. I had written book after book, and handed them into any ageny I heard of, but every time, they turned my book away.

The books were my escape from the mistake of a life I had gotten myself into, but each one held so much anger in them, they were slightly off putting. However this story, was more toned down, but every now and then, I had to remind myself not to slip back into that mind set.

"Whatcha doin?" Kaya asks, skipping around the corner and into the living room where I was sat witha mug of tea and laptop, my reading galsses slipping slightly down my nose.

"N-nothing, I'm doing nothing" I stutered, shutting my laptop screen.

"Your not watching porn are you? My ex-boyfriend used to do that, and make me watch sometimes, it was disgusting, I'm not much of a porn person" Kaya scrunches up her nose.

"No, I'm not a 'porn person' either. I was just replying to some tweets" I laugh, pulling off a spectacular lie.

"Ah, well why don't we watch a movie?" She asks, sitting beside me and switching on the T.V. Nodding, I scoot up closer to her and invest myself in the somewhat interesting episode of planet earth.

Half way through an episode on penguins, a knock sounds through the small apartment. Kaya looks at me expectantly as I groan, and roll of the sofa towards the door.

Swinging the door towards me, Thomas stands there with his hands in his pockets.

"I hope you realise you just disturbed an extremely interesting documentary on penguins. For that, I will let you into my home, however I will not kiss you, hug you, hold your hand, for 10 minutes" I say, crossing my arms over my chest. Is it my time of the month? Probably. Even I noticed my harshness.

"Of course your heighness, please get back to your documentary whilst I make you some food" He laughs, walking over to the counter.

Nodding, I walk over to the sofa, only to see Kaya wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"You two are so cute. That reminds me I have to meet a guy I met the other day in about 10 minutes." She says, looking at the time on her phone. ,"Best get going" She smiles, hugging me quickly.

"Please be careful" I say into her ear. The thought of her meeting up with a guy she only met a few days ago terrified me. Not just because I don't know him, but mainly because I don't want Kaya to make the same mitake I did.

Kaya trots out of the apartment, waving goodbye to Thomas in the process. Looking at Thomas, I notice his eyebrows furrowed together as he reads a nigella lawson cook book.

"Hey Emily you don't happen to have any nutmeg extract?" He laughs, looking at me with a confused expression on his face.

"Dammit it must have forgotten my weekly pot of nutmeg extract, ah maybe next time" I say sarcastically, getting up and walking over to where Thomas was still studying the book.

"Those recipes are useless, I don't know half the stuff that goes into them" I sigh, standing beside him. "I do however know how to make bacon pancakes" I wink, taking the eggs, milk and flour out of their storage places.

"That's sounds like a very good idea" Thomas nods, as he attempts to hug me.

"Nope. You disturbed my penguins" I say, trying my hardest to not laugh. Thomas pouts, before lifting me at the waist, and flinging me over his shoulder.

"This violates my rules!" I scream, slapping Thomas' butt.

All of a sudden, the room starts to spin, and the blood rushes to my head, as I watch Thomas' feet go round in circles, and spin me around at a fast rate.

"No tiger!" I giggle.

"If I put you down... I want one thing" Thomas says, as he starts to slow down.

"Anything!" I laugh/scream.

"A kiss" He says. I could almost hear the smirk laced in his voice.

Sighing, I nod, and I feel the weight distribute throughout my body as I stand in front of Thomas, trying to gain my balance.

Once my vision had readjusted, I notice Thomas standing before me, his lips puckered.

Grabbing his lips, I pull his ear close to my lips.

"Penguins" I whisper, just how benedict cumberbatch would say.

Laughing, I kiss Thomas quickly, before turning back to the kitchen counter.

"Right, bacon pancakes" I nod, as I take the scales out of the cupboard.

"BACON PANCAKES, MAKIN' BACON PANCAKES" Thomas yells, dancing around the kitchen.

Laughing at his hyper attitude, I pour the flour into the scales up to the right measurement before putting it into the bowl.

"Hey tiger?" I start.

"Yes my dearest?" He says, coming behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I have something for you" I say.

"What?" Spinning around, I flick some flour into his now bemused face.

Gasping loudly, he takes a pinch of flour and sprinkles it onto my head.

I give Thomas the evils, before I pick up a tea towel, and whip him with it. His face after was almost priceless, as he copies my actions.

We continue to fight with the kitchen wear, before I get an idea. As quick as I could, I ran to the counter and picked up one of the eggs.

"Don't get crazy now kitten" Thomas says, fear flickering through his eyes.

Stepping forward, I tap him on the nose softly with the egg, before smacking it on the top of his head.

Whilst laughing hysterically, I don't notice Thomas grabbing an egg, until he smashes it on the top of my floury hair.

"Ok, truce?" I say, wiping the dripping egg from my cheek, and holding my hand out to Thomas.

He thinks for a while, before agreeing, and placing his floury hands into mine.

"First order of business" I start, washing the white powder from my hands "pizza?"
