'Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss'
I sit on my sofa, totally engrossed in the beautiful words by Shakespeare. My favourite part, the part in which Romeo and Juliet exchange their first conversation- the balcony scene some may call it. Their words are filled with love and passion towards the other, and someday I wish I could have a Romeo. Granted, I would prefer he didn't kill himself, but someone to love me despite our differences all the same.
Suddenly, my phone vibrates beside me.
Thomas: At least tell me that you want to lend me your book or something!!
I smile at Thomas' desperate attempt to start a conversation.
Emily: Ah but sir I seem to have started it again, sorrow for your loss is deep within me
He starts to reply immediatley
Thomas: Its my turn!
My heart is empty and craves the beautiful words from the greatest love story of all time :(
Emily: You seem to have a habit of interrupting me when I'm reading don't you?
Thomas: I'm afraid I do
But I'm not too much of a burden
Surely my presence is much better than any book you can get
Emily: You see Thomas, books don't interrupt me when I'm reading them
YOU INTERRUPTED THE BALCONY SCENE HOW DARE YOU
IM ASHAMED OF YOUR INTERRUPTING SKILLS
Thomas: Terribly sorry to have dissapointed you my leige, how about I repay you with an invite to my house?
Emily: That depends... can I bring my book?
Thomas: Only if I can have it
Emily: Borrow. And Ok.
Where do you live?
Thomas: 42 Harper Way
Emily: I guess me and my book will see you in a bit then
Thomas: Can't wait :)
I put my phone down, and sigh, knwoing I should probably change out of my PJs. Getting up from the sofa, I walk to my room and open up my wardrobe in the hope that I have something decent to wear.
I pick out my light wash jeans, and red checkered button down shirt. I leave my hair natural and down, and slip on my red converse. PIcking up my bag, I walk out of the house, and make my way to Thomas' house.
Luckily it was only a short walk from my place. When I arrive, I knock on the door soflty.
Thomas opens the door, a smile dawned on his face.
"You brought the book right?" He asks pulling me through the door.
"nice to see you too" I smirk, pulling the book out of my bag and handing it to Thomas. "Now, if you break my book, I have to break you, thats the only copy I have" I say poking his arm.
