Emily POV
The light from my curtain poured from the clear glass windows. Thomas, despite his perfectly capable ability, didn't walk home last night.
As we laid on the sofa together that evening, we shared a look we hadn't really exchanged before. It was a look of, true understanding, and content-ness. Like we really, saw each other.
Deciding not to wake 'sleeping beauty', I skip into the kitchen and pull out some ingredients for a full-English. Sausages, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms all fried on different hobs. It surprised me how the loud sound of sizzling oil didn't wake Thomas.
Once everything had been fried/heated, I put it all onto 2 plates, before making 2 cups of tea. Placing the food and drinks onto a little tray, I carry it into my room.
Thomas' silent body still sprawled over the bed. His slender arms slung over his head and his beautiful head laying on its side.
"Thomas" I whisper sweetly, shaking him slightly after placing the food on the bedside table.
Thomas' eyes part slightly, the dark brown appearing black in the dim lighting.
"I made some breakfast" I whisper again, kissing him softly on the nose. A cute smile spreads into his face, as he yawns. Sitting up against the bed, Thomas takes the food, and places it on his lap.
"Thanks, Em" He says, his voice low and raspy. "love you" He adds on quietly, before taking a massive bite.
Sitting beside him, I get my plate, and begin to pick at the food slowly.
"What did you wanna do today?" I ask chirpily, looking over at his still slightly dazed face, the sense of sleep still lingering in his eyes.
"Well I was thinking maybe I could take you to meet my family" Thomas shrugs, non-chalantly. Choking slightly on my toast, I look at him in confusion.
"A-are you sure? Maybe we could go see a movie or so-" I begin.
"Em, I know it's scary, and it's not your thing, but they've been dying to meet you, they live near Cumbria and we can stay in a really cute little B&B? But you only have to see them for a bit... Just a cuppa?" He smiles sweetly.
"Okay, but only a short stay" I smirk, before tucking back into my food.
"Oh and that book you wrote?" Thomas begins. Internally, I cringe, knowing he had remembered. "You should publish it"
"I can't publish it, I'm terrible at rejection" I laugh "and no doubt they're gonna reject my book" I scoff.
"I promise you they won't" Thomas smiles. Scoffing again, I take both of our plates and put them in the dishwasher.
Suddenly, I feel two arms wrap around my waist.
"That was yummy" Thomas chirps, his sleepy demeanour almost vanished.
"I agree, best meal I've ever made" I giggle.
"I'll make you one tomorrow, see whose better" Thomas winks.
"I'm obviously gonna win I mean dude" I laugh.
"The challenge is on" Thomas scowls, before walking from the room "oh and we have to be at my parents for 4!" Thomas yells behind him. Looking up at the clock, I read the time. 12.
Moving from the kitchen to my room, I knew the drive to Cumbria was 3 and a half hours. I pull out a white summery dress and slip it over my head, before putting my hair into a side braid and leaving my face makeup-less.
