Thomas POV

I ran my fingers through my hair for the 3rd time this car journey, I was on my way to work. A week after my kiss with Emily in the Dance studio, and she's only messaged me once which was to say that she couldn't come over because she was in the middle of Great Expectations.

I knew she wanted to get away from me because I kissed her, but this was a reppetitive thing Emily seemed to be doing. We would be insperable for about 2 weeks, before she finds herself trapped in the world of romance she finds in her love stories, one she could find in real life... if she just let me in.

The way she danced, spoke, sung, even breathed captivated me. Just the simple things she does makes me go crazy, I can barely handle myself when I'm around her these days. Pulling into the car park of the set, I notice Emily getting out of her car. Her soft caramel hair down and wavy as usual. A light jean skater skirt, and white croptop, with a red flanel tied around her curvy waist. Stopping for a second, I take in her beauty. It was hard not to stare at her, the way her hips rocked as she moved, her brown messenger bag hung on her shoulder.

Tearing my eyes from her, I shut my car door and walk to the make up truck, where Emily was sat in her normal seat, head phones in her ears as he scrolled on her phone. Smiling, I sit on Eva's chair, where she stood smiling expectantly.

She starts brushing make up onto my face, before she chirps up, in a hushed tone.

"You know Thomas... I think Emily likes you" She says, as we both to look at her.

"I highly doubt that" I scoff. "Shes so perfect, and I'm just lanky" I sigh, looking back to the mirror. She laughs, amused as she looks at my bemused face.

"Trust me, everyday this week, when your not staring at her, she can't take her eyes off you" She laughs, brushing a brownish eye shadow around my hair line.

"Probably because she caught me staring at her" I laugh, shaking my head.

"Just give her time, I think she'll warm up to you" Eva says, having to end our breif conversation as Mr Ball calls me over to wardrobe.

Emily POV

Looking up, Thomas leaves Eva's chair and jogs out of the make up truck. Looking to Eva, she starts walking towards me.

"I talked to Thomas" She smiles mischieviously.

"Why?" I asked.

"Oh please, you two are always checking eachother out, and he even said your too good for him Emily, why can't you just let him in?" Eva sighs, starting to plait my brown hair.

"Eva, you know why... I find it... hard" I say, not wanting to mention why.

"I know, babe. But Thomas isn't like him" She whispers, kissing my cheek and hugging me from the side. Eva and I had been best friends since we were about 7. We each got a pen friend in Pre-School from the Netherlands (which is where Eva is from) and thats how I met her, ever since the first letter we've been inseperable. So when I found out that she got a place as a make up artist I half died.

"Yeah, but he's still a guy, and it's not something I can just do" I whisper back, wiping a stray tear from my cheek.

"Oh I know... just maybe if you tell him he might find it easier to accept it, and give you some space" She suggests, even though it was hard, I knew she was right.

Picking up my phone, I message Thomas quickly.

After work meet me in Harper park, I need to talk to you- Em x
Putting my phone down, I take out my book, and continue to read the heart breaking romance novel.
