After a quick shower, I meet Travis back at the infirmary before lunch. I enter the room where Will Solace is helping Travis. Immediately I freeze up. Travis sits with his shirt off, ab muscles out in open for all to see. It's not a bad sight to behold, but I shouldn't be liking it—we don't really have feelings for each other, that would be stupid.

Still, I can feel myself blushing.

"Hey, there she is," My boyfriend points at me. "The girl that gave me this."

"Yes, Travis, you're one lucky guy." Will smiles at me but rolls his eyes at my boyfriend. "If only I had a signifiant other to give me a huge purple bruise, I'm definitely missing out."

"Such a lucky guy," He winces as Will tests the tenderness of the purple and yellow area.

I laugh at Will's sarcasm and go over to ruffle Travis' hair.

"Don't worry, a special boy is out there for you," I smile at the son of Apollo.

"You should be alright, Travis," Will tells him. "Just some ice and maybe a small shot of nectar—The bruise will be gone by tomorrow morning."

We watch as Will pokes his head out of the room and calls for one of his siblings to get the ice and nectar.

"So you two seem to be like a happy couple," Will beams are the both of us. "A lot of us campers knew there was always something between you two."

My eyes widen. "Really?"

"Yeah, the two of you always bickering, pranking, playing around—trying to get each other's attention." The son of the Apollo laughs. "I'm not the only one who could see the romantic tension—there were plenty of rumors going around."

Blush rushes to my cheeks. In a moment of confidence I turn to my fake boyfriend, "Travis."

"Yes?" We make eye contact.

"I'll go to the party with you." I smile at him.

"Really?" His eye light up. "Wait, are you sure— you won the bet!"

"I'm sure—"

A knock at the door catches all of our attentions and we see Myra with the nectar and an icepack. "Hi,Trav," she winks.

"Thanks, Myra, but I asked Reyes to get it for me." Will gives her a look.

Travis gives a lopsided smile at the other girl and I'm not sure if I want to give Travis another bruise, or Myra a new one.

"It's not problem, I'm happy to help." Myra bats her eyes and pushes past me to Travis. She presses the ice back to his torso. I make up my mind—I want to give Myra a new bruise.

"Myra." Will inhales slowly. "Kindly, get the hell out of my infirmary."

She huffs and places the small cup of healing liquid onto a table before pushing past me again to get to the door.

"I am so sorry about her."

"Don't be, Will," I reassure him.

"She's just jealous, she and Jake have been arguing lately."

"Oh, really?" Travis perks up. "That's—uh—that's too bad." He recovers.

Nevermind. I decide that I'd rather give them both my boyfriend and the daughter of Apollo bruises. Travis downs the shot of nectar and already the bruise looks better.

"Thanks, Will," Travis stands up, eager to get outside where Myra is. He slips his shirt back on and doesn't even reach to hold my hand as he begins to leave.

"No problem," He smiles and leads us out.

I cross my arms over my chest. Suddenly, Travis' sweater doesn't comfort me anymore and I want to get out of it. I trail behind my boyfriend's steps.

He doesn't even realize that I'm not walking with him until we're halfway to the dining hall. He immediately reads my expression and his face slacks. "Oh, Katie—"

"It's fine, just go." I glare at him.

He hesitates, then turns back around to get next to Myra in the line for food.

Something in the out of my stomach twists. I can feel my frown deepening at the sight of them two. This is going to a long day.
