Caught

A/N: Hey! I saw prompt for something like this on Pinterest, so here it is! Hope you enjoy!

You plopped on your bed. This wasn't your day. You fell off your pegasus during flying lessons, your sleeve was singed off with lava at the climbing wall, and you hadn't made a single bullseye in archery. You did not feel like going to training. 

You grabbed your book and began to read. Not a minute later, your best friend Leo burst through the door. Figures. People never let you read in peace. He had soot and grease smeared all over him, which meant he had been at the forges. You secretly had a crush on him, but you couldn't let him know that. Feelings could get in the way of battle. 

"Ugh. What do you want, loser?" you asked, lowering your book. Leo grinned nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. 

He sat down at the foot of your bed. You sat up next to him.

"I wanted to ask you something, (Y/N)," he mumbled softly.

"Fire away, repair boy." you joked. He winced. You knew he didn't like in when you called him that. That's why you did it. 

"So, I was wondering if... you wanted.. to go out with me?" he said.

"What? Are you asking me on a date, Leo?" you mused. His eyes widened. 

"I mean if you don't want to, that's fine. Just since we've been best friends for a long while I thought... It's fine, but yeah, I mean, ummm.... Yeah, but-" he blabbed. You stopped him by putting your index finger over his mouth. 

"Shut up. Just shut up," you muttered. And with that you pecked him on the lips. It was a light kiss, no longer that a second. Leo looked stunned. His mouth stood agape, but his expression soon softened. He looked down at your lips, as if asking for permission. You nodded lightly. 

You both leaned in but right before your mouths could meet, Chiron entered. 

"(Y/N), I was wondering why you were late for training- WOAH!" he yelled, rearing on his hind legs.

"WHY ARE YOU ALONE TOGETHER?! THIS IS A RULE VIOLATION! PEGASUS STABLE CLEANING DUTY, BOTH OF YOU!" he shouted, then signaled for the door. You felt your cheeks brighten. You forgot two people of the opposite gender could't be in a cabin alone. Whoops.

"Chiron, you're such a dad..." you grumbled on your way out

"I heard that, young lady! Two weeks of stable cleaning, then!" he shot back. You gave Leo an annoyed look. He chuckled. You both headed to the stables. Let's just say there wasn't a whole lot of stable cleaning.
