Leo Valdez x Reader (oneshots)

Piper had convinced you to show up at the Dionysus kids' party. She had assured you it would be PG, but it wasn't really fulfilling that rating...

...

You were walking around with your red plastic cup, but unlike mostly everyone else, you weren't hitting the happy juice. You were just drinking fruit punch, the only other beverage option at the entire party. Seriously, had anyone ever heard of orange juice, maybe???

Anyway, you were walking around innocently, minding your business when you saw it. 

Leo kissing Calypso. 

And it wasn't just any kiss. It was a sloppy, wet kiss in front of  many cheering people. Leo was your best friend, and your first crush; seeing him kissing another girl just broke your heart in half.

Your eyes teared up and you staggered backward, right into the empty bathroom. You slammed the door shut and crumbled down, sobbing. You didn't quite know why you were crying, it just came out and consumed you.

After a while of sitting around and wiping your eyes, someone knocked aggressively on the door.

"Hello?! Some of us have to pee!" 

You hesitated.

"Uhh... I'm on my period!" you blurted in attempts to get them to leave. 

Silence.

"(Y/N)?" they asked. You knew that voice.

"Leo?" you called out, drying your eyes. He couldn't see you like this.

"Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine, Leo. I'm fine."

"Can I come in? You don't sound okay."

You tensed.

"Leo, I said I'm fi-"

Before you could finish, Leo barged in, then slammed the door shut again. He covered his eyes with his hand.

"Leo!" you yelled.

"I'm sorry, but I wanted to see if you were okay..." he blushed, still covering his face.

"I'm not on the throne of poop, Leo." you laughed softly. Having him in the same room as you made the mood lighter in itself.

"Oh." he looked at you. "Have you been crying?"

You wiped your eyes again. "No!"

"You have."

"No I haven't!"

"What happened?" he asked softly, sliding to the ground beside you. He slung his arm around your shoulder and pulled you closer to him. Your face flushed.

"Nothing," you pressed on, but you knew Leo was onto something.

"Then why are you crying on the floor of the bathroom?" he asked. You blanked.

"...allergies?" you replied nervously.

He rested his chin on the top of your head.

"I'm your best friend. I know you better than that." he whispered soothingly. Your eyes burned with tears. You didn't want him to think you were a jealous person, because you weren't. 

"Promise you won't leave?"

"Promise."

You buried your face into his chest.

"I saw you kissing Calypso..." you muttered.

"You saw me kissing Calypso...." Leo repeated. His shoulders tensed. "Oh."

There was a small silence.

"I love you, Leo. That's the big secret." you spat. (A/N: Cupid scene vibes...)

"You do?" he asked, his gaze faraway.

"Yeah."

He looked to you, smiling warmly. "Come here."

He spread his arms wide. You fell into the hug, crying into his shoulder. He rubbed circled into your back and lifted your chin to face him.

"I love you, too." he pecked your lips. "I can't believe I just noticed that. You're the best girl ever. You are kind, loving, beautiful, smart, funny, talented and you have something Calypso could never have. Passion for those you love. That's why I love you."
