Mikasa's POV
"Mikasa Ackerman." Everyone turned when my name was mentioned in the back of the class. The principal was standing there, looking towards me. The kids began to whisper under their breath as I made my way towards the principal. She led me outside of the classroom. "Come, you have a little interview with the police."
Solemnly, I nodded my head and kept my head down. Students were lingering around, leaning closer and whispering. Their gazes locked onto me, darting away when I saw them staring at me. Thankfully... I'm not like them. I don't feel shame from them. How bad could it be?

"Mikasa Ackerman... aged 16 years old... nearly a robotic person." One of the officers said as she began to search through her little notepad. "Hardly speaks, but passes all her classes. Scary, creepy, fearful. Murderer." Her eyes lit up towards me, speaking in a gentle tone. "These are... strange opinions about you... I don't think it's right for them to judge you based off a past event. After all... that case is unsolved."
I nodded my head. "A cold case... as other people call it. Some say that the case should've been closed long ago."
"I understand, Ackerman."
"Here to arrest me, officer?" She looks taken aback, looking towards me with surprised eyes. "Arrest me to finish your Braus investigation and my parents' murders? Is that why you decided to interview me like this? Drag my name in the mud, smear my face to be blended with the others?"
The officer shook her head, "No, that's not why I'm here." She clears her throat, looking up into the mirror on the wall. No doubt people are staring in on this questioning. "I'm here to rule you out as a suspect."
"Am I the only suspect here?"
"We have our own list of suspects, Ackerman. It's not just you."
"Who were the other suspects you ruled out?"
She shook her head, opening her little folder. "I'm not obliged to say, Ackerman. Our list is private and we are unable to tell anyone about them. This is because we don't want the true culprit to pin their next crimes on a potential suspect. This is to rule off bias. This is how we work, Ackerman."
I nodded my head, seeing her go through her folders. Her eyes weren't surprised when she gazed through the reports and crime scene photos. Either she was used to seeing these crimes... or she had already seen them. This was to cause a reaction from me. A regretful one, most likely.
"What do you remember when you were a child? The night your parents were killed... the time you had found them like that. Tell me."
"Fear." I say straight-forwardly. "I didn't know what happened. Everyone continued to accuse me of killing them. Over and over. I'm used to this."
The officer nodded her head. "Of course. Sorry to drag you back into that moment. Let's change the subject, shall we?" She then flipped towards another photo, looking at me. "What do you know of a Sasha Braus?"
"Other than she was a classmate and she was killed... that's all. She was scolding Eren about dropping her food... threats to hurt him."
The officer stopped in her tracks. "Ah... Eren Jaeger, correct?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Those seem consistent..." The officer nodded her head, continuing to go about on her questions to me.

Officer's Patterson
"We've gotten nowhere." I say softly, shaking my head towards my partner. The only reasonable suspect we had... we cannot not confirm nor deny it. "Codenski," I looked over to him again, "should we have that Ackerman evaluated?"
"Perhaps." He says, drinking his afternoon coffee. "But what gives if her aunt and uncle both gave testimonies that we cannot dismiss. As far as we know... Mikasa Ackerman never left her house."
