Hanji's POV
It must've been ages until the agent walked back with- Levi?! My heart would pump as I saw him walking in with a slight grin on his face. The agent, on the other hand, was very aggressive. Written all over her face. If I didn't know better, she must've pretty pissed when she had to bring Levi here. After what she said about them...
"Hanji-" He cried, running towards me. Agent Ritchard gasped a bit and reached for her gun on the side- but calmed down when Levi only wrapped his arms around me. His little psychotic spree didn't last long when he was with me. "Hanji..."
Carefully, I ran my fingers through his hair, calming him down by every second. "It's alright, I'm here. Calm down... calm down, you hear? No need to worry any longer..."
Agent Ritchard sat on the metal chair- staring directly at Levi. No hesitations- just a deadly hunter's face. "Now- I want to hear the truth. If you're so protective over your Ackerman of a husband, Mrs. Ackerman, you can tell me why you're protecting him. After all... you are protecting someone who killed your baby on December 2nd-"
"Untrue." Levi whispered, yet it was loud enough for everyone to hear. Pausing in their movements to listen what Hanji had said. "Untrue... I would never harm her. I wouldn't dare harm her. Why would I hurt her?"
"So what happened-"
"He was the one who killed our baby." He continued, holding me tightly. "I killed him because he nearly killed the one I love. I... I wouldn't let him get away with it freely. Monsters like him needed to pay."
"Who was this someone?"
"Luther Smith."
I held Levi closer as he continued to rant on more about the details with him. How on that day, he threatened to hurt all of Levi's remaining relatives. How Levi confessed that he killed a murderer. Luther's last words of how he killed Mikasa's family. How he stabbed me and I lost my baby that day. How Luther was buried with both his blood and Mikasa's family's blood.
The agent stepped out and left us two alone. What I might've hoped for... the truth of what really happened that night. Levi paid no attention... just holding me tightly. To him, there was nothing else that mattered. What only mattered was just me... and our little family.
Pushing my mind away from that... what was happening with Eren and Mikasa? Levi was safe here... I was safe... but... what of them?
