Continuation of MINT's POV

Every weekend, Mom and Dad tried their best na makipag-bonding sa amin ni Thal. They were busy pero they always make sure na they will still have time for us. We often go places because we wanted Thal to experience a lot.

One weekend, we went to Tagaytay, we stayed in one of Dad's friend's house. Thal loves the weather here and it seems like she doesn't get tired playing in this kind of place. Buong araw kami namasyal at naglaro.

"Di, I think we should buy a house here. It'll be healthy for the kids. Wala masyadong polution." Suggest ni Mommy while we were eating dinner, the three of us were eating while Thalia is fast asleep, ngayon lang sya nagpahinga.

"Hm, we have a house in Baguio." Dad said while thinking.

"But Di, Baguio is too far. Tagatay is only a few hours away from Manila eh." Sabi pa ni Mommy.

"Well, let me talk to Lloyd to ask about houses." Mukhang nakumbinsi ni Mom si Dad about buying a house here.

Tito Lloyd is the owner of the house and Dad says he knows many people in Tagaytay kaya he'll ask him about the house Mom wants.

It was Sunday night when we decided to go home.

Dad was driving, while I was on the passenger seat playing PSP. Mom and Thal were at the back, Thal was sleeping kasi so Mom sat there with her.

Pagdating sa bahay, nagtaka sila nang makitang walang ilaw ang buong bahay, kahit sa garden area.

"Why is it dark?" Sabi ni Dad sa sarili. "What is happening here?!" Takang tanong ni Dad. He tried to honk para marinig nila manang sa loob and buksan ang gate. Pero after a few minutes, wala pa din nagbubukas.

"Di??" Sabi ni Mommy, I can sense fear from her voice.

"Teka lang Mi, no one will go down." Sabi ni Dad, may tinawagan muna sya then bumaba ng sasakyan

Then it happened, some men with black masks on their faces approached Dad then they started to harass him physically. I looked at him with fear pero he gave me that look na wag akong bababa.

The men didn't seem to notice na nasa loob kami ng sasakyan. But unluckily, Mom saw what they're doing, she was so shocked and dahil sa instinct nya, bumaba sya to help Dad.

"MOM!" Sigaw ko, pero nakalapit na sya.

I wanted to follow them then nakita ko si Thal sa likod still sleeping, not knowing kung anong nangyayare. So I decided to stay put.

Then biglang may loud siren sound.

'POLICE!'

Na-relieve ako nang nakita kong madaming pulis at mga bodyguard ni Dad na lumapit sa mga lalaking nakamaskara. Nagkagulo, nang biglang...

*BANG!*

Malakas na alingawngaw nang putok ng baril. Sobrang takot ko, nanginginig ang tuhod ko then I looked at Dad, pero nakatayo pa rin sya, he's physically okay pero nakatingin sya sa ibang direction with shocked eyes.

"MOOOOOOOM!" Sigaw ko nang nakita ko si Mommy na bumagsak at madaming dugo. Napalabas ako ng kotse at tumakbo papalapit.

Nagkagulo pa lalo pero maagap ang mga security ni Dad at mga pulis, nahuli ang mga lalaki.

"TUMAWAG KAYO NG AMBULANCE!" Sigaw ni Dad. "Mi, it's okay. You'll be okay." Sabi ni Dad while crying at hawak si Mommy.

Nanginginig ang tuhod ko, I can't even look at my Mom. Then tears filled my eyes na halos wala ko makita.
