Tears for the Baron

I felt the Hamon course through my veins as I ran at Tarukus. I sent a punch his way and he wasn't able to dodge it in time and my fist connected with his cracked his face. I watched as it cracked more with my punch. I landed back on my feet and leapt away from Tarukus as he punched at me. I dodged and ran at him again.

   ' I need to target his right hand. If he can let go of that chain JoJo can get some air. '

I ran at his right hand and readied a punch for him.

   " Sapphire blue Hamon Punch! "

As my fist connected with his hand a sapphire blue color erupted from our connected hands. I heard Tarukus shout in pain and I continued to send punches to his hand as fast as I could.

   " You little brat! "

I saw as his other hand fly towards me in an attempt to grab me. I jumped and spun over his hand and continued to punch his hand. It was cracking and it looked to be almost broken.

   " Stay back! He'll kill you. " I heard JoJo shout.

I looked over and saw Poco in the room.

   ' How did he get in here? He must have climbed through that narrow hole.'

   " Don't interfere you little brat! "

I watched as Tarukus was going to hit him. I stopped hitting his hand and started running towards Poco. I saw the chain move and realized that JoJo was able to get a grip on the chain and pull Tarukus back.

   ' It won't be enough, Tarukus is going to kick him hard. '

I watched as Tarukus quickly raised his leg to kick Poco. I ran infront of the kid and felt blood leave my mouth as I took the kick instead of the boy. I flew towards the wall and I slammed against it, falling down to meet the floor.

   " Y/n! "

I felt blood start seeping through my hair and down my face. Blood trickled out of my mouth and I felt pain swell in my body.

   " Ms. Y/n! " I head a boys voice

   " Poco, I'm alright! Open the door! "

I saw Poco walk to the handle of the door and he was able to push the lever and open it. I saw Speedwagon and Zeppeli open the door and run inside. Speedwagon and Poco ran towards me. Speedwagon sat on his knees and set me in his lap. He held my bleeding head in his hand and brought out a cloth to put against my head.

   " We just need to hold this here for now, lass. "

   " Got it. "

   " It's nothing that won't heal. " He told JoJo.

I focused my gaze on JoJo and nodded my head. I could tell he was worried still.

   " Get him Baron! Go! Give that hulking bastard the what-for. "

I looked up at Zeppeli and saw him standing in front of the two chained men. JoJo was still struggling against the chain but his feet were on the floor at least. I watched as Baron took a few more breaths of air and he started walking towards JoJo and Tarukus. My head hurt really badly and everything was blurry.

   " Speedwagon, everything is blurry. "

   " Rest your head, dear. "

   " Y/n, I ask a favor of you. " Zeppeli said looking at me.

   " Anything. "

   " If you ever see my grandson or daughter I want you to tell them something for me. Tell them that even though I am dead, they are upholding the Zeppeli family proudly. If they aren't trained in Hamon yet. I want you to train them. "

   " Why your grandson or daughter? "

   " I have a feeling that you'll live longer than all of us and you'll be able to meet them. You also have a good memory, so tell them what I have said to you. "

   " I will. "

   " Thank you, signora Y/n. "

I felt myself pass out watching Zeppeli jog to Tarukus and JoJo. I felt something wet on my cheek and I started to open my eyes. When my eyes opened I saw Speedwagon crying. He was sitting with Poco beside him and I was still in his lap. The only difference was JoJo was sitting across from us and his shirt was gone along with the collar. I sat up and held my head and I felt my own tears come to my eyes realizing what had happened. I slid out of Speedwagon's lap and sat beside Zeppeli as Baron Zeppeli started losing his life. His hair was white and he looked old, half of his body was gone. Tore away from Tarukus.

   " Baron? "

   " JoJo through you I will live on forever. My son and Y/n?" He said finishing his speech for JoJo

I held his hand as he started losing his life even faster.

   " You will always be known as the Zeppeli Family best friend. It is now in your title until you die. You and JoJo are my best students so please pass it down to my grandchildren. Let them know I died with honor and that the name Zeppeli will always be associated with the Speedwagon, Joestar, and the Y/n family. You were my best friend. Never....forget....that. "

Then the light left his eyes and his hand fell from mine. My tears were already making small puddles on the floor. Poco started crying and I held him as we cried together. JoJo picke dup Baron Zeppeli and brought his body outside. They set him in a fire pit and lit a fire. Speedwagon held the hat that once belonged to our mentor.

   ' It was only right that we gave him this fire burial. '

I felt JoJo wrap his hand around my shoulder and bring me to his chest. I continued to cry into him while he rubbed my back to sooth it.

Baron Zeppeli has retired
