Almost Over

" Lord Dio! " Someone yelled bursting into the room.

I came back to my senses and pulled away from Dio. I stood up from the couch and moved away from Dio. He watched me as I backed away from him. I looked at the door and saw one of his minions standing in front of the door with his hand pressed against the golden handle. I looked back at Dio and saw his face flared with anger. He set the blanket aside and stood up from the couch, turning towards the door.

   " What is so important you had to barge in here like that? You fool! " He yelled at the zombie.

   " L-Lord Dio, the Joestar boy is here among his other friends. "

   " Are they now? "

   " Yes, they've just entered the building and they are looking for that other girl and your lady. "

   " Very well, you are dismissed. "

The zombie nodded and left the room. Dio turned towards me and his anger left his face as he held a melancholy expression. He walked towards me and placed his hands on my shoulders.

   " My dear, please stay here. It seems JoJo has arrived and I need to start dealing with him. "

   " Dio, I'm not going to just stay here-"

   " Yes, you will. " He said placing a finger on my lips

His face now held one of calmness. There was no anger in his expression and he looked to be calm with only a little concern in his voice directed at me.

   " As I said before, I do not want you near JoJo. He holds the power to take you away from me, and I'm not going to allow you two to get close. I won't allow him to take you away from me, not again. "

   " Dio, I have to go. I know that this isn't my fight but I have to be there and help JoJo. I have my birthmark for a reason. "

   " I understand that your birthmark tells you that you are the Joestar Protector but it doesn't control your life, Y/n. You can do what you wish. You may do anything you want my dear. Not just what that birthmark says. "

   " Dio, I know but it's my destiny. Just like how your fight with JoJo is your destiny. This fight is only between you and JoJo but I can be there to protect him. I'm not going to kill you, that's not my destiny and I'm not going to help you because it's not a part of mine. "

   " Y/n...if you didn't have that birthmark would you come to my side? "

   " I don't know, Dio. That didn't happen so I can't tell you what would've happened. "

I saw his eyes maneuver around my face and he cupped my cheeks with his massive hands. I felt his warm lips touch my forehead and he pulled away.

   " Never the less you are staying here, you are to not leave this room. "

He started walking away from me and I followed him to the door. He shut the door on me and I heard him lock the door and take the key with him. When I heard his footsteps disappear I backed up away from the door. Then I ran at it ramming my shoulder into the wood door. I continued to ram into the door until my shoulder started to burn. I walked back to the couch and sat down wrapping the blanket around my cold shoulders.

   ' How am I going to get out of here? I can't break the door down, that's some thick wood. My shoulder hurts from hitting it so hard. '

I continued to wait until I heard rapid footsteps coming towards the door. I knew there were several pairs running.

   ' That zombie said JoJo was here with some other people. Maybe that's them! '

   " Hey, let me out of here! " I screamed

I ran to the door and I started banging my fists on the doors.

   " Please let me out! "

   " Y/n? " I heard a familiar voice.

   " I'm here! Who's on the other side? "

   " Y/n! It's Robert Speedwagon. "

   " Speedwagon, Dio locked me in here. Can you please get me out of here, I can't get through the door. "

   " Sure thing, JoJo will get you out in a jiffy lass. "

I heard him shout to JoJo on the other side of the door and footsteps started making their way towards the door.

   " Y/n, is that you? " I heard JoJo's voice from the other side.

   " It's me! Can you please let me out of here? I can't bust the door down on my own. "

   " Yeah, I'll get you out. Step back from the door okay? "

   " Okay. "

I stepped away from the door and I waited. Then I saw a body come through the door. Pieces of wood flew around the room and I saw JoJo standing in front of the door with no splinters or wood pieces around him.

   " Y/n! "

With no hesitation, he ran to me and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back and he set me back down on the ground. Speedwagon hugged me and I noticed the men from before were with them. I greeted them and looked back to JoJo.

   " Did he hurt you? Did he touch you or do anything to you? "

   " No, he didn't. I'm fine, all he did was try to convince me that I should stay here but he locked the door on me. "

He leaned his head on my forehead and whispered,

   " I'm glad he didn't hurt you. "

   " I'm fine, JoJo. Let's go take care of him before we celebrate even further. "

He nodded and smiled at me. We separated and started leaving the room. On our way to save the world.
