A Promise to Caesar

We were waiting for Joseph in the moonlight. He wasn't here yet. 

   " Human I have a question for you. " Wamuu asked.

   " Yes? "

   " Back in the castle hotel, you had yelled that the Zeppeli grandfather had done the same thing to you that Caesar Zeppeli was doing. What do you mean by this? "

   " Should I tell you? Should I really tell you this life-threatening information? "

   " ... "

He stayed quiet and so did Kars. I turned around and took off my scarf. I brought my jacket down to my elbows and moved my hair ( If it's long ) to the side, revealing my birthmark. 

   " This birthmark symbolizes that I am the Joestar Protector. Bestowed upon me from some higher power. I was born sometime in the 1880s and Jonathan Joestar, Joseph's grandfather, found me. He brought me to his home and treated me like a sister, we grew closer romantically but when an enemy appeared we knew we had to defeat him together. On our journey, we met Robert E.O. Speedwagon and Baron Zeppeli. His real name was Will Anthonio Zeppeli. Baron was Caesar's grandfather. I then became The Joestar protector, sister to the Speedwagon name, and best friend to the Zeppeli household. We all fought together but we lost Baron. He died in the same way Caesar did. Risking his life to save the Joestar friend he had met and defended. It was heartbreaking to lose him. He was my teacher and best friend. He taught me what Hamon originally was and I know the techniques of the original Hamon masters. "

   " That's why you are stronger than the others. "

   " Exactly. I know the ways of the original masters. While we were facing our enemies Jonathan pressed my birthmark. Because he had skin to skin contact with my birthmark I disappeared. The reason behind why is unknown. I just know that if someone of Joestar blood presses on my birthmark I disappear until they have a grandchild who is in need of me. So, I disappeared and then I came back to this world when Joseph needed me. "

   " If I were to press it? " Kars asked.

   " Nothing would happen. It only matters if a person has Joestar blood in their veins. Joseph is currently the only person that can send me away. I know he won't. "

   " Interesting. We will have to keep you far from Joseph. "

   " You can try, but that bastard is persistent. "

I readjusted my clothes and put my scarf back on. I looked to the ground to see Joseph and Lisa Lisa talking. It looked to me like he was teasing her for something. When he finally looked up at me I nodded at him and he nodded back. 

   " Vampires, Prepare the arena! Light the fires! "

A fire lit in the arena and the ground started rumbling. I looked out to see four vampire horses running towards us with chariots. Two horses were attached to one chariot. The horses stopped in front of Wamuu and Kars. 

   " On that track, JoJo and Wamuu will face each other one-on-one in a fierce, ancient-style chariot duel. "

   " What do you mean? "

   " An ancient, Roman-style deathmatch. You will battle, racing around the arena, trying to kill each other. Lord Wamuu or JoJo, who will be the first one to fall under the wheels or get beaten down by his opponent? The loser dies! " One vampire explained.

   " Hold it just a minute. I will fight you on any field or in any cage, but vampires are your minion, even horses, so how is that fair? " JoJo asked, pointing a finger at Kars.

   " Don't worry, human. The reins you use will conduct Hamon. Wamuu will use his superior strength and you can use your Hamon to control them. " 

   " Are you sure about that? They look pretty vicious. "

Lisa Lisa walked up to the horse and grabbed the reins making sure that he was telling the truth. He was and the horses turned to normal again. Wamuu shed some of his clothing and is wearing what he originally wore in the cave. JoJo shed his jacket and his hat. He brought out Wamuu's lip ring and put it on his finger. Then he brought out Caesar's headband and tied it around his head. 

   " We'll face this fight together, Caesar. "

He tied it in the back and jumped on the chariot ready to go. I walked up to the chariot and grabbed JoJo's arm. He looked down at me and I smiled up at him.

   " I know you can do this. You'll beat Wamuu and then we can go back to New York City when Kars is defeated. "

   " Yes, we can see Granny Erina, and Speedwagon again once this is all over. "

   " Exactly and this time I'll stick around to see your kids. "

   " You mean, our kids. " He said grabbing my hand and smiling.

   " JoJo..."

   " Y/n, I still have those feelings for you that I did when we were dangling in that abyss. Can you tell me if you return those feelings? "

   " JoJo, you're about to start the battle. "

   " Tell me. Before it starts. "

   " JoJo..." 

You sighed and turned fully towards his chariot, towards him. 

   " JoJo you've defended me time and time again. You treat me differently from other ladies, from what Erina says, you've always protected me, you've always cared for me, and made me laugh. JoJo..."

You jumped onto the wheel and kissed his cheek. Sure he's kissed you on the lips before but you thought that was going too far. You landed back on the ground and smiled at his flushed face.

   " I'll tell you after this battle has been won. "

   " What!? You can't just do that and leave me hanging! "

   " Isn't it obvious? "

   " Yes, but I want to hear you say it. "

   " Then win, this battle with Hamon and then we will defeat Kars together. I'll tell you when they are both dead. "

   " That's not fair!"  He shouted as I started walking away from him. 

I walked beside Lisa Lisa as we got to a spot in the arena where the king would sit and watch. Lisa Lisa looped her arm around mine and we stood together.

   " You're a tease just like Joseph. "

   " He deserves it after all the times he's teased me. "

   " You are correct. "

   " Lisa Lisa, if something happens to me, please be there for Joseph. "

   " Do you predict you will not live to see the end? "

   " It's just precaution. If I were to leave Joseph because of my death or because my birthmark was activated, I want you to take care of him. I know he will hate having to live without me here but please help him grief and move on. "

   " I will. "

   " Thank you, Master Lisa Lisa. "

   " Master Y/n, you are one of a kind. " She said smiling at me.

I smiled back at her as we watched JoJo and Wamuu take their positions. 

   ' I can't interfere here. This is his battle. If I interrupt it would mean it wasn't an honorable fight anymore. This is his destiny and I can't interfere. This is his promise to Caesar. '
