'I was wrong.'

~Molten's POV~

I walked into school following Lefty to his locker. I had a feeling this would be useful for later. Don't ask why, I have weird feelings like this all the time. And they're never wrong.

Once I glanced at his locker number, I had it memorized. I quickly walked away, not wanting to be wrapped up in whatever was gonna happen. Before anyone asks, I'm not a psychic. I'm just... Gifted? I don't even know.

I looked back to see a crowd had formed around Lefty's locker vicinity. There. There's the bad feeling. See? Never wrong. I somehow blended into the crowd, watching the event play out. Honestly, it took a lot to not beat the living hell out of the jerk who decided to start this. I looked at Lefty and I saw he was unconscious. That hurt to see. First person to give me a chance at friendship - yes, I know that sounds cheesy, and it is, but it isn't wrong - and he gets beat up and... Shoved into his locker? Okay, I'm gonna question him later. How does he fit? I don't know.

The crowds began to disperse, so that's when I made my move. I quickly walked across the building, heading towards the teachers lounge. I have a bad reputation with teachers. They don't mess with me. Long story short, I nearly killed a substitute last year. She really got on my nerves. That's the only reason. Anyways, I entered the room and grabbed a locker key. Yep. I'm just gonna unlock it. No super-cool-anime-door-breaking-scene. Just me, and this key. And Lefty. Who is trapped, right. Or left? Haha.. I'm not funny.

I made my way back to Lefty's locker. I said memorizing the number would be important, and low and behold, it was.

Take that, everyone who called me a creep!

I knocked on the door.

"Knock knock!"

"Wh-who's there?" Lefty's voice was quiet and it sounded shaky.

I inserted the key and unlocked it, opening the door.

"Freedom!"

Clearly I didn't think this through, as Lefty fell out of the locker.

"You've gotta be f...... Ow." Lefty sat up, rubbing his nose.

"I'm sorry, I did not think that through well enough." I held my hand out to him; he grabbed it, pulling himself up.

"You're fine, you didn't expect it and neither did I. I'm not mad." Lefty smiled.

I returned the smile. Unfortunately, it faded as I looked at the bruises on Lefty's arms and legs.

"What?" Lefty tilted his head.

"Are you okay?" I looked at him, concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I've had worse."

Worse..? That's worrying..

"Anyways, I don't wanna stay here. Wanna come with?" Lefty snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, sure!" I grinned.

I followed Lefty down the hallways and out the building. We went down the trail, just as we had the first time. Nostalgia, and it hasn't even been 3 hours. Weird how so many things can happen in such little time.

"I have a question." Lefty stopped, looking at me.

"I have several. Shoot." I studied his features for a moment. His eye - the one I could see - was a gold-ish orange-y color, almost like mine.

"Why'd you unlock it?" He looked up at me.

"Because you were stuck? I thought that would've been obvious."
