Holding on to guilt is a subtle form of suicide. Preventing yourself from moving forward because of something that happened in the past is enough to kill you alive. Some find it easy to forgive others but extremely hard to forgive themselves. Why?
Accept that it happened and move on. You may lose some friends and family but as long as you forgive yourself, you will not lack the benefits of a happy life. Hurt is inevitable, sometimes we are the victim, other times we are the perpetrator. But whether or not others forgive you, forgive yourself and live happy.
