The fun part of being exotic is that you don't have to travel. You can stay right there and enjoy the non-natives.
Tradition can be fun and should be respected but I don't believe it is wrong to experience what other people in other places are experiencing.
You can try other food, wear other garments, speak other languages and learn about other cultures as long as you don't forget yours.
