_JACKIE_
I woke up in the comfort of my own bed as the bright beams of the sun pierced through the thin curtains and fell on my not so tired eyes. It was the best feeling to be back at home. But there still was the fear of being scolded by the chief. After all, we broke several rules and even got hurt, two things the chief strictly said not to.
Last night they operated on my leg and extracted out the 10 mm bullet that had made itself comfortable in my flesh. After the surgery, I was shifted to our sleep area. I felt a soft hand caress my hair all night long and sing sweet melody to me. I wasn't quite active as I was given anesthetics but I was certain that it was my mother.
I climbed down from my bunker bed, took my crutches from the side of the bed and proceeded towards the washroom to freshen myself up. Walking with crutches was way too harder than I thought, especially when I'm tiklish right where the crutches support. After cleaning myself up, I headed towards the field where my friends most probably would be.
Half way through my journey, I was met by Jungkook and Lisa. They helped me with my mis-balanced walking.
"How are you Jackie, bogoshipda!" they exclaimed in unison.
"I missed you too guys" I was meeting them after not much but three whole days.
We went to our regular spot and sat down. Everyone was there but surprisingly, Taehyung wasn't. I was especially looking forward to meeting my long time crush, more because I actually wanted to go to the mission with him and confess to him. I thought he'd miss me a little at least but here I was, waiting for him with an almost broken leg while he was nowhere to be seen. I felt disappointed but I didn't let it show.
"How was the mission, Jackie?" Jin asked.
"It was awesome, we collected a lot of information that could lead us to Daniel's weaknesses" I explained with a smile.
"Cool, I am so proud of you" Lisa exclaimed excitedly.
My friends were way too much happy and it was suspicious. For some unknown reason they couldn't stop smiling. What's going on?
We all chatted for quite some time. Even Chris, Jessie and Zhang who arrived at the camp only this morning, joined us in the conversation and we discussed about our mission.
Suddenly I felt a warm hand rest on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Yoongi standing behind me.
"Jackie, I think we should go and apologize to the chief before he decides to come up to us" he exclaimed.
"You are right, let's go" I stood up and to almost everyone's surprise, Yoongi held my hand and helped me with it.
"Woah!" Jungkook exclaimed "what happened to you two in this trip? Did Yoongi get hurt too, on his head?" he teased Yoongi and weird thing, I felt bad about it.
"No" Yoongi replied nonchalantly, "we are friends now." His words were unexpected but not undesired.
"So, how's your leg now?" Yoongi asked as we proceeded towards the chief's office.
"Great of course, nothing ever happened to it" I scoffed in playful manner.
"Yeah right, and thank you for carrying me all the way from the castle to the camp" Yoongi joked. He understood what I was doing and played along with it and we both ended up laughing.
