Hana's POV:

"Arthur, what is it?" I asked him when we reached the greenhouse. He told me what has happened while I was out cold.

My face turned red when he said that he saw me unconscious. And he said that he gave me an amulet. Surely, when I checked around my neck, there was a silver necklace with a circle at the base.

"You really didn't see who was talking here?" I asked him. Arthur shook his head. "I wish I did, but it was just too risky. From the sound of their voices, their backs weren't turned against us," Arthur said.

Wow, he's good.

"We'll just have to see what will happen in school," I told him. Arthur nodded. "And I have a question for you," I said snuggling closer to him. "Did you actually pull me away to for a review session or just to spend some quality time together?" I asked smiling up at him. "You know me so well," he chuckled kissing my forehead as I giggled.

"Of course I do."

"Welcome back everyone," the principal started. I kinda zoned out from his speech and looked at everyone around me. We were told to sit down at the chairs that were already arranged in an assembly hall. Everyone sat with their roommates. Kay and I had the same idea and watched the crowd. I knew Cass was searching the crowd for Mars. It wasn't easy to miss Ana's 'hidden' smiles.

Earlier, Amelia had insisted we wear communication units in order anything happens. Arthur, Kay, Samuel and I were given the pieces. The rest of our roommates were told to act natural. They were fine with that.

"I hope you find this year enjoyable. Please, stay safe," claps erupted and I followed along.

"Alright. We've got tabs of everyone who came. The ceremony should end soon," Amelia said through the comms unit.

I noticed something at the corner of my eye. The side door opened and two people, one girl and one boy, walked out. The door closed.

"Amelia," I whispered. "Saw it. Try to find out where they two are from," she said. I looked around the left while Kay looked at the right. "Empty chair. From the room right next to ours," Kay reported. "Same here," Arthur said.

"Got it. Blend in and stay put. I've got this," Amelia said. Everyone was told to leave. Everyone hurried to the doors.

We all walked out and the ground shook. Cracks appeared on the walls.

"Everyone out!" someone shouted and people started to run for the doors. I let my instinct take over and turned into mist. "Hana!" I heard Kay shout, but I flowed with the wind. I was lead outside and I saw two people. It was the people that left earlier.

My mist body moved closer to a tree.

"Has she left?" asked the girl. She had long, midnight blue hair. "According to the letter, yes, she has," replied the boy with red hair and brown eyes. "Very well. It is  time. Is he here?" the girl asked.

"Yeah. That's the distraction right?" the boy asked. The girl nodded. "Come on. I know the way to the archives. Let's not waste anymore time," both of them dashed towards a door. They ducked in without a sound.

Then, I saw Arthur came. He looked around and said something into the comms unit, "I swore they were here."

I landed and turned back into my Daphtian body. "They were. Come on. They said they were heading to the archives," I told him. Arthur was momentarily shocked by my appearance. "Okay, you two follow them. We'll take care of things out here," Amelia said.
