Arthur's POV:

I wasn't too keen on leaving Hana even though I knew that she'll be well protected in the Greenhouse.

You know that feeling when you entrust your phone to security? The sensation I was feeling was something like that.

I shook my head, trying to get the thought out of my mind. If I am to find a mind manipulative monster, my mind has to be focused.

"Let's search at the streets. Where people get drunk and hangout," Connor suggested, tapping my shoulder. "You mean a bar?" I confirmed. Connor nodded. "Sure. Good idea," I replied.

Before we were able to go far, I caught my sister's eye. From the look on her face, she understood what I was going to do.

Amelia probably overheard us. You can't exactly guess what happened.

We wandered to a nearby bar. I would say it's a good half a kilometre away from the school, which meant not a lot of drunks or hungover people were seen near school areas.

"Best not split up," I told Connor and he nodded.

The wooden door creaked open and the first thing that hit me was the smell.

I remembered a few weeks back when we sneaked into the base of the Mark, the enemies of the Legion, to get Samuel back. Hana had told me that she'd came across a bar. If I remember correctly, Connor was there as well.

My job isn't to sneak into bars and gather information. Those are sleeper spies's job. My job is more covert and completely unseen.

Unless it's hiding in plain sight of course.
"We should've made a plan," Connor muttered as we walked further into the room filled with so much valuable information.

Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself.

There were a few ladies here that were probably just pleasure or sleeper spies as well. I didn't recognize any of them, but I doubt they don't recognize me. I'm like an outlaw in the Legion, they must be living under a pretty big rock if they didn't know who I was.

I noticed some eyes turned to us in my peripheral vision. "Connor, I know it's a bad idea, but-"

"I know. We should've brought a distraction."

"That'll just make it more obvious."

"True."

"Are you two boys here unsupervised?" a bartender asked. She was definitely a stunning woman, with blonde locks and blue eyes. She looked too Daphtian to be a Succubus, but that could be the literal reason why she's a demon in the first place.

"Ma'am, if you heard a baby crying at the public transport, would you to get involved?" Connor asked in a fast pace.

The woman blinked. "I-no. I wouldn't get involved."

"Then treat that guy over there who would like another shot," Connor pointed at a bulky man at the end of the table who was indeed waving the bartender over.

The bartender placed two cups on the counter and filled them with some liquid which I can only guess is alcohol.

"Well, enjoy yourselves!" she said and flipped her hair behind her shoulder.

But I caught what she was trying to say. A sleeper spy. And she had just helped us blend in.

I told you I was popular.

"She can get us intel. We have to talk to her," I told Connor. "Already got it all. The Objective is at the school," he replied in that fast speaking speed.
