Arthur's POV:

According to that mysterious person's prediction, the Entrance Ceremony has been rescheduled.

Instead, we'd all been summoned to a council meeting to discuss what had happened last night.

It was at 8am in the morning, but it had felt like those late night meetings when a catastrophe had just happened.

Technically, that's not wrong.

Each of us told what we saw and felt last night. I was especially paying more attention when Hana told her story. I could tell she was hiding something, but she played well and didn't show anything.

When everyone finished telling their point of views, which didn't take long, we all looked at the Boss. Eudore Nathaniel. Most of us had just knew his name a month ago, when the Leader of the Mark, Torn Mark, yelled out his name, promising revenge.

"This is something the inner circle must discuss alone. The rest of you, leave at once," he said with a serious face. We shuffled out of the room without a word.

As we stepped out the door, I instantly dragged Hana by the hand out of earshot from everyone else. "What is it?" she asked me when we were alone together. "There's something in your mind. Something that happened last night," I replied.

Hana's gaze dropped. She wouldn't meet my eyes.

"Hana-"

"Arthur, not now. I don't know even know what to make of it. Please," she pleaded. I could tell she was at the verge of tear. What ever she saw must be terrifying. I nodded in understanding. "Tell me when you're ready," I said pecking her cheek.

Hana nodded with a smile.

We walked back to the group just as Amelia walked out of the meeting room. "Free time. Just don't tell what happened last night to anyone else. Otherwise, just enjoy your day and get ready for the entrance ceremony later at 2," she announced.

The eight of us decided to go to an ice cream shop. The very same one we came to on the first day we met. For some reason I never bothered knowing the name of that ice cream shop.

"What do you think talking in that inner circle feels like?" Ana asked when all of us got our ice cream and were seated.

"It's intense. It's sometimes scary. Your mental strength has to be strong and you may not falter at all. Showing even the slightest weakness can put you at a great disadvantage in a discussion," Kay said with her ice cream spoon in her mouth, "my dad's a pro at that. Thankfully, I inherited some of that talent. But I still don't like the pressure. That's why an inner circle member is pretty rare."

"Nevermind, I'm not curious anymore, I got my answer," Ana quickly said before Kay got any other ideas that may scare her. Kay smirked.

"It really does seem like a hard but important job," Cass added playing with her ice cream spoon. "The literal defense against anything evil. Of course it's an important job!" Evan exclaimed. "They didn't save Mufasa," Connor added.

"Let's not get into that," Samuel said.

"Right, I missed movie night," Hana sighed. "What were you doing exactly last night?" Ana asked. "Learning about love with Amelia and her roommate, Rennea," she replied.

My face went slack. "You were being taught by her?" I asked her. Hana looked at me with a confused face. "What's wrong with that?" she asked.

"Well, she's..."

"Out there? Yeah, she definitely was," Hana guessed.

She got it right, I was gonna say that.
