Family |Miura Miyuki (mother - deceased), Miura Haruma (older brother), Miura Tsunade (grandmother), Daniel Miura (uncle), and Mía García-Miura (aunt).
Background | 1997 was a very special year for the Miura family, Haruma began his acting career at the very young age of 7 and his little sister was born a few months after that. Both of them were raised by Miura Miyuki, a pianist and single mother who raise both of her kids with a lot of love and art. At the age of 4, Mizuki was introduced to ballet dance and classical instruments, even young she showed much talent and appreciation to piano and dance.
In 2004 when Mizuki was 7 and Haruma was 14 their mother passed away in a car accident leaving an uncertain future for both of the siblings. Being abandoned by their father way before the accident both of them were put into the care of their grandmother, a classical ballet professor. Their mother younger brother suggested that he could take both of the kids to live with him in New York, but with his carrier gain strength Haruma stayed in Japan with his Grandma, but his sister went with their uncle.
Daniel Miura was a 24-year-old young man that worked as a B-boy, Street Dancer, and a Choreographer who took his 7-year-old niece into his wing to live with him in Brooklyn. Receiving an English name, Savannah tried to not be sad for losing her mom and being far from her brother, so she focused all her attention on art. Her uncle taught her how to street dance and some of his friends introduced her the Hip-Hop and Rap culture. Never letting the ballet go, afraid of her grandma's reaction to the possibility, she became an exceptional dancer.
At 2010 being 13 years old Savannah was thinking of coming back to Japan and try out to AKB48. But her uncle didn't let her go, claiming that was not her vibe and that she should try out for something that one day could give her more creative freedom in the future. So she took an SM Global Audition in 2010 as he suggested. In the same year, she went to South Korea, after successfully passing her audition.
She was immediately put into the boys' dance class, and into rap, acting, and singing lessons. Quickly adapting herself into the routine and working hard to learn Korean she was put at the SM Rookies program. In 2013 she was put at the Red Velvet project, but when it was time to debut she was at Japan visiting her grandma. She wasn't sad about it because she was doing her first acting work at the movie Close Range Love as the lead role playing Yuni Kururugi. Not being selected to be on Red Velvet with Yeri, she was able to be at the movie The World Of Kanako, again as a lead. With that, she won 3 awards os Best New Artist/ New Comer at Japanese premiers.
Getting acting roles in Japan was a little bit too easy. She knew she was talented, but she was sure it was her living in her brother's shadow, so she decided to keep trying to debut in Korea. Waiting to get the advantage of her very good friendship with the boys and her popularity in IG and Japan, SM put her to debut with NCT U as a main dancer and rapper for the song 7th Sense and as a vocalist to the song Without You.
