Namjoon was hugging himself as the cold December winds seeped into his coat. He was outside waiting for Jin to come out of his apartment because they had to catch a train soon. The whole gang had agreed on meeting at the train station at 9am so they could catch the train at 10am, but Jin still wasn't outside.
The new year was coming soon which was only stressing everyone out more, but at least the had this upcoming trip. Jimin and Hoseok's wedding was only about a month away, so there was a ton of wedding talk and buzz. They were going out of state to a bath house district that also happened to have the cutest town festival. Of course they would be split up but on the last day there they would all have fun together.
"Cold?" Namjoon heard as Jin gave him a back hug. Finally, the older friend had arrived and Namjoon would soon be getting out of the cold.
"V-Very." He stammered as the older man grabbed his hand and put it in his pocket.
"W-What took you so l-long?""Just packing some final things." Jin answered, walking with Namjoon to the cab. "I'm sorry for leaving you outside in the cold Namjoonie~" he cooed, loading the suitcases into the trunk. Even tho Namjoon was freezing his butt off he was still be excited for the trip - practically jumping out of his skin.
When they got inside Jin took off his gloves and instantly trapped Namjoon's hands in his own. The brunette looked up at him in confusion.
"I'll warm your hands for you." Jin giggled, continuing to hold Namjoon's hands in between his own. All the younger man could do was nod and smile as he felt his cheeks heat up.
The ride to the train station took about 50 minutes so they ended up arriving at 9:28. The gang didn't look extremely pleased but they were still happy to see the pair of best friends. Since end of the year was approaching they hadn't been able to go on their usual Saturday outings in between work and final touches to the wedding. It was nice to finally all be together even if Jin and Namjoon were late.
"Oh my god, hyung." Hoseok called, hugging Jin close. "Thank god you're here. We were this close to pulling a Home Alone on you." He growled cutely while pulling back.
"Not really, I would've still waited for you, after all you're our favorite hyung." Taehyung told only to receive a glare from Jimin. "I mean after you Jimin-hyung." He corrected, cowering behind Junglook.
The youngest of the group looked like he was zoning out as he tugged at his low ponytail if you could even call it that. His hair had grown out over the past couple of months and everyone wanted to touch it.
"I actually disagree." Jungkook finally stated, grabbing onto Taehyung. "My favorite favorite hyung is Namjoon-hyung, then Yoongo then an even tie between Jin-hyung and Hobi-hyung, then Jimin-ssi, then my TaeTae." He told.
The older boys murmured between themselves.
"I would love to hear how you came up with that wack ass list, Kookie." Jin urged, as he slung and arm around the smaller boy. "Especially how you came to the conclusion that Namjoon is at the top." He asked dubiously.
"Well you see..." Jungkook began, earning the attention of all his hyung's.
Jungkook explained his rankings in fine detail which surprised everyone in the group but it was entertaining. The whole process of boarding and waiting for the train to depart was discussing the ranking of the hyungs by the younger boys. It was nice to be together again even if it was in a cramped train booth.
4 hours later and they arrived at the town. It seemed like the snow hadn't yet arrived there so that was a plus because it meant more places were opened. The town was absolutely beautiful with all its Christmas-y decor and all the lights, even the houses were small and cozy, nothing like the city. Their hotel was also really cozy, with bamboo furniture in the individual cabins and lots of plants.
