In the Incheon airport of Seoul, on a busy Saturday night at 9pm precisely, a man was impatiently tapping his foot and circling his luggage. His shoulder ached from carrying the bag for so long and he was pissed. He was also extremely hungry or well hangry because he had been promised his good fill of Korean food after being away from his home for so long.
"If this fucker doesn't show up in 20 more minutes, I'm taking a goddam cab home and not speaking to him for a whole fucking week." The guy muttered to himself with a lot of profanity.
Yep, that was Kim Seokjin for you. He had the mouth of a sailor when he was pissed and it didn't help that his ride was an hour late. Jin had no other choice, okay he did, like he could easily pay for a cab but he had been promised Korean food. Since Jin was a journalist for The Seoul Times he was called around to all places of the city but sometimes his work required him to travel outside the country. It was fun, but being away from Korea for long times made him sad.
"Jin-ah!" Some man yelled. He was tall and had gorgeous dirty blonde hair that perfectly complemented his tan skin.
Jin instantly turned around, his already agitated face becoming a full on scowl. He stayed put in his place, crossing his arms in dissatisfaction and turning his head the other way. The guy groaned and trudged over to where the ravenette was standing with his luggage. His car was left in the pick up lane so he had to get out of there quickly.
"Come on, Jin!" The guy said, grabbing Jin's luggage and forcibly slinging the bag off of Jin's shoulder. "Look I'm sorry, that bitch Cindy acted like I didn't ask to leave early in advance so she could keep me in the office!" He explained frantically, trying to get Jin's attention. "Please my car is in the pick up lane, so unless you want neither of us to have a ride then please get your ass moving."
Jin sucked his teeth and uncrossed his arms only to wack the guy in the back of the head. He groaned in pain, but yeah, he kind of deserved it because he had called Cindy from HR a bitch - to her face, thereby causing him to be late. He hadn't planned on being this late but he was really sorry.
"Okay first, you little weasel, where are my honorifics!?" He scolded, taking his bag back and making his friend (?) lug his suitcase to the car. "And second, you could have at least called!" Jin yelled, not really caring that people were staring at them. This was normal so big whoop!
"Hyung, I'm sorry." The guy said genuinely. "If you're this mad does that mean you don't want me to take you out to eat?" He questioned, loading the suitcase into the trunk.
"Hah, hoe you wish." Jin snickered, settling in to the passengers seat. "For this I'm gonna max out your credit card, Namjoon." He laughed wickedly as Namjoon got into the drivers seat, not before taking his jacket off.
"So you're not mad?" The younger man asked, driving out of the pick up lane.
Jin snorted. "Eh, I was left to wait an hour and I'm exhausted from my 15 hour flight so yeah." He told, resting his head on the head rest.
The smell of Korea, nothing special about it in particular, but it was Jin's home. He had his best friend, Kim Namjoon here, his pretty rad apartment, and the great frickin' food ever. Yes, this handsome guy he was yelling at was his best friend, Kim Namjoon. They had been friends since their awkward teen years, had graduated together from high school, then college, and now as adults were still pretty close.
"Awe, I'm really, super duper sorry, Jin-hyung." Namjoon apologized yet again, reaching over to hold Jin's hand. "And I will make sure to get you only the finest Korean food in Seoul." He promised, earning a smile from Jin.
