my dad introduced himself first while shaking jihoon's hand then my mum.

"it's good to meet you too, jihoon" they both said and smiled

jihoon smiled back and handed the gift bag, my parents accepted it and thanked him.

"take a seat, y/n and jihoon" mum said and gestured us to sit down

jihoon pulled the chair out for me, i sat down and he pushed it in.

"gomawo, oppa~" i said and held his hand 

"it's okay~" he said while sitting beside me and intertwined with my fingers

my parents were sitting across from us and they couldn't stop looking at jihoon. i guess they were still in disbelief that he's actually with us and i was dating him. it was a new experience for us all.

"thank you for the meal" jihoon and i said then started eating

a couple of minutes went by and it has been silent, i looked at my parents and signalled them to say something.

"jihoon, how did you meet y/n?" dad asked

"at first, we were messaging each other online then we unexpectedly met in person at y/n's work place"

"oh really? how did you meet each other online? dating app?" mum asked

"mum, remember when i told you that i got noticed by seventeen and my favourite idol was texting me?" i asked trying to refresh her memory

"oh yeah, thats right~"

"jihoon, what made you want to text y/n?" dad asked

"i actually never thought about asking him that" i thought to myself then looked over at jihoon waiting for this response

"y/n mentioned in the comments that i inspired her to write songs and to sing. i was touched and interested to check her music out and singing. she commented her social medias and email for imessage so i decided to text her and i'm so glad that i did that" he said and smiled at me

my heart melted hearing the reasons why he decided to text me, i felt so lucky and loved. i blushed, intertwined fingers with his and smiled back.

"that's so sweet, you're actually her first boyfriend" mum said

"oh no- please don't expose me" i said and covered my face

"don't worry y/n, you're actually my first girlfriend" jihoon said and blushed

"i guess we'll be having a lot of our firsts together as a couple" i said and smiled then he nodded 

jihoon and my parents have been getting to know each other while eating dinner, they all got along quite easily and there was no tension or awkwardness. after dinner, my dad wanted to have a chat with jihoon outside in the backyard. while they were having their chat, my mum and i were cleaning up and was chatting as well.

y/n's dad was leading the way to the backyard, i followed then we sat down on a sofa to chat.

"i really want to thank you for coming to australia, this is the happiest i've seen y/n in a while"

"oh really?" i said surprised

"yeah, other than her fan-girling over her kpop idols haha" he said and we both laughed

"but seriously, she has always looked up to you and has so much love for you. it's pretty obvious right?"
