↠𝚢/𝚗'𝚜 𝚙𝚘𝚟↞

4:30AM 

the plane just landed and i actually cannot believe that i'm finally in south korea, it does not feel real at all. i texted soonyoung and he told me that some of the boys and their manager were already on their way to pick me up. once it was clear to leave the plane, i got my things and made it inside gimpo airport to pick up my luggage at baggage claim, got a new sim card and travel card. 

5AM

as i was walking towards the exit, i saw soonyoung, vernon and joshua holding a big poster with a picture of me and the writing which says "welcome to south korea, y/n!!". i immediately smiled then grabbed my phone to take a photo of them then we greeted each other with a group hug. 

"y/n!!!" they all yelled excitedly 

"welcome to korea!!" vernon said while waving the poster around 

"thanks guys!! it's so good to see you again, also sorry that you guys had to pick me up this early" i said while feeling a bit guilty 

"it's alright, that's what friends are for" soonyoung said and patted my head 

"let's grab a snack before we drop you off to your hotel" joshua said 

"yeah sure!" i said and smiled

"luckily it's close-by to our dorm and the pledis entertainment building" vernon said 

"let's help carry your bags for you, y/n" soonyoung said while taking my luggage then the others helped 

we met their manager in the car park, we greeted each other while the boys helped put my luggage and bags away, then we made our way to nonhyeon-dong which was about 45 minutes away. we were all catching up on each other's lives and went through the surprise plan again to make sure it'll be perfect. 

it was almost 6am and we grabbed a quick snack at a convenient store nearby. afterwards, the boys tagged along while i checked into my hotel suite, they helped brought my luggage and bags to my room. 

"thanks for all the help, guys" i said and hugged them all 

"no worries at all" vernon said and smiled 

"take a nap and we'll meet again later on with the rest of seventeen" joshua said and smiled

"keep me updated and we'll finally surprise jihoon!" soonyoung said excitedly 

the boys left to go back to their dorm and i started looking around my suite and did some unpacking. i then laid in bed and went on my phone to text my parents then listened to jihoon's voice message. 

"hi baby jagiya, thanks for letting me know i really appreciate it, you know i'd always be worried if i don't hear from you but i understand and i'll patiently wait to hear back from you. please make sure you're getting enough sleep and not being too hard on yourself for working overtime, i know how drained you must be feeling. please also make sure you're looking after yourself and your health, i don't want you getting sick at all. it's almost midnight here and we have another busy schedule tomorrow, it wouldn't be any different even if it'll be my birthday but i rather spend it with you, even just for one day. i'm always thinking of you my gorgeous babe! i miss you and i love you so so much too, always!! mwah~" 

after listening to jihoon's voice message, it brought a huge smile to my face. his sweet voice and meaningful words soothed my soul and just makes me want to him give the biggest hug ever. i was thinking of replying back and greeting him for his birthday but i felt sleepy and took a long nap.

6:30AM

i just woke up to the sound of the members singing happy birthday to me, i rubbed my eyes and slowly sat up and noticed that soonyoung, vernon and joshua just came back to the dorm and joined us all. 

"happy birthday jihoon!!" they all greeted and we had a group hug 

"thanks guys" i said and smiled while rubbing my eyes 

"oh- where did you guys go?" i asked while looking at soonyoung, vernon and joshua

"we just came back from an early morning run" joshua said

"yeah, so we could watch the sunrise" soonyoung said and smiled

"oh okay" 

everyone ate breakfast and got themselves ready for the day then we made our way to the pledis entertainment building.

12PM

i just woke up and decided that i wanted to explore around the neighbourhood to familiarise myself and see if there's any stores nearby so i could buy props for another surprise i had in mind for jihoon later tonight. 

while i was getting ready, i listened to some music and charged my phone. i left the hotel and spotted a cute florist cafe right around the corner, so i went inside to look around. i ordered a latte and toasted chocolate croissant then sat at the table near the window. it was currently autumn in south korea so it was quite chilly and there were lots of autumn leaves falling from the trees. i captured some photos and wrote random song ideas in my notebook. i had the urge to just see seventeen already, i couldn't handle myself from not seeing jihoon when he's literally close-by but i reminded myself but i needed self control and to not spoil the surprise.

3PM

we just finished our last meeting of the day and had a 30 minute break before we film an interview. i checked my phone and i still haven't heard anything from y/n even though she listened to my voice message this morning. i texted her a few times to check on how she's doing and as expected she wasn't online to reply. 

"what's wrong jihoon-ah?" seungcheol asked and sat next to me 

"i haven't heard from y/n since late last night, i thought i'd get a message or call from her by now" i said and put my phone back in my pocket

"it's alright, maybe you'll hear from her soon" he said and patted my back

4PM

i just came back to my hotel room after doing some shopping. i bought jihoon's birthday cake and managed to buy some chocolate covered strawberries then i stored them in the refrigerator. i decided to clean a bit and start setting up the room for jihoon's other surprise. i scattered red and white rose petals on the floor from the front door to the bathroom and to the bed. i blew up some decorative balloons that were shaped as love hearts and one which says "HBD". i scattered the leftover petals all over the bedsheets, quickly wrote a little birthday card and attached it on top of a little box which was wrapped up. i also placed some led candles around the room and in the bathroom. 

i received a text message from soonyoung that they're about to go to dance practice and are planning to start the surprise at 5pm. i had half an hour to get myself ready and make my way to meet with them. 

once i arrived outside the pledis entertainment building, soonyoung, vernon and joshua was there. we greeted each other and they leaded the way to the dance studio. we were just outside the door, vernon helped light up the candles, soonyoung opened the door and joshua turned off the lights in the room.

5PM

we're currently having a break from dance practice, some of the members were still dancing, others were on their phones and some went to the bathroom. i was checking my phone again to see if i had any messages from y/n and my messages from before were still left on delivered. i sighed as i put my phone back in my pocket and suddenly the lights were turned off. at the corner of my eye i could see someone holding a cake and everyone started singing happy birthday to me again. i still couldn't recognise who was holding the cake until they started walking towards me then i immediately realised that it was y/n. i thought i was seeing things but there she was, singing and smiling at me. she held the cake in-front of me and we both had teary eyes, i was so surprised and speechless.
