3 - I was bored

Hey! I will mostly discuss stuffs about the school pero hindi ko lalahatin. The school is not that necessary to the plot and I have separate story na school talaga ang main setting. There I will explain it thoroughly. For now, I will explain only relevant things to the plot. Okay? Happy reading!

Chapter 3: I was bored

[Monday: July 16, 2018]

Halos mapapikit na ako sa antok habang nagdidiscuss ang teacher. Yes, I'm so bored. It's a minor subject na hindi naman importante.

I did what I also do when I'm bored. Read our schoolbook.

I know that it is sooo bad to not listen to your teacher during class but I'd rather stay conscious kaysa na tulog ako. Being at sleep at class in worse! And besides, nakapag-advanced reading na ako sa bahay about the topic. So if ever I will get called, I think I can answer it well.

Ang rason kung bakit kahit paulit-ulit kong basahin ang schoolbook tuwing ganitong nabobored ako ay dahil sobrang interesado ako sa school namin. It is not your ordinary school. I'll tell you why.

SON is short for School of Neoplatonic. And take note, you pronounce it as individual letters not son na anak na lalaki. Anyway, we, students of SON, are called Neons.

Unang taon ko dito sa SON ay sinearch ko na kaagad ang ibig sabihin ng Neoplatonic. And it is actually a good word.

It kind of means "the First", "the One", or "the Good" based on what I've searched. Ang alam ko, unang business ng may-ari ngayon ang eskuwelahang ito. Pero ang pinagtataka ko, bakit Neoplatonic ang ipinangalan niya knowing na hindi naman ito ang first business ng founder ng school, o tatay ng may-ari.

Pero sabi ko nga, sino ako para kuwestiyunin ang founder diba? Curious lang naman.

Sabi ng teachers, we are called Neon because we should be glowing in the dark and not being in the dark. "Don't let the darkness eat you rather, be the light amongst the dark." That's kind of the iconic quote of the school.

However, Neons, in terms of chemistry, is a noble gas which means stable. At kilala din ang school namin dahil 'mababait' daw ang studyante dito. Sino bang hindi babait kung sa lahat ng gawin mong mali ay may parusa? Especially na si Justine ang Argo diba?

SON is for high school students, both junior and senior. Take note, it is a public school. Everything is free! Maliban na lang siyempre sa mga requirements mo. I know everybody has this rough impression towards public school but believe me, it is the BEST school in the world.

Naguiness world record nga 'to eh. Biggest population of students. Biggest school in the world. Most beautiful campus in the world.

Everyone has the knowledge na malaki ang pinagkaiba ng junior at senior high school. Pero iba ang SON. Madami itong similarity.

First, you will learn everything. STEM, ABM, HUMMS o TECHVOC. Lahat pag-aaralan mo. I know, mahirap pero sobrang makakatulong ito sa'yo lalo na kapag hindi ka sure sa kung anong kukunin mo sa kolehiyo.

Ako alam ko na naman ang gusto ko. Business. Ang apilyedong Villanueva ay matunog dahil sa furniture business na Nuevo Furnitures Inc. At malamang, ako ang maghahandle nito pag tanda at buti na lang, interesado rin naman ako kahit papaano sa business.

Pero... gusto ko ding kumuha ng classes regarding sa talents ko. You know, arts, painting, singing. Or maybe culinary since I love cooking. But then again... I have the responsibility of running the company since I'm an only child.

I hope na payagan ako nila Mom at Dad na kumuha din ng classes regarding that. That would be a dream come true!

Balik tayo sa SON. Second, schedules. Alam ko ang usual na senior high ay may specific na oras para sa klase pero kami, laging whole day. 7 AM- 3PM. Lahat ng sections yan. Ito rin ang isa pang similarity sa junior high, ang sections.
