Chapter 14: Consolation Cake

I woke up before Tesla wakes me up. I instructed her to wake me up in an hour in case that my body alarm will not work, but I was sure that my body alarm always works.

"You woke up a minute before an hour, Sir Hayden Matteo Gutierrez." Tesla announced as I wake up.

"Just call me Hayden." Sabi ko habang kinukusot ang mata ko. Napahawak ako sa ulo ko dahil sa matinding sakit ng ulo. Damn, jetlag.

Pagkatapos ng ilang minuto, medyo gumaling na ang sakit ng ulo ko. Napatingin ako sa maleta. Tinignan ko ang paligid ng kwarto. Simpleng blue lang ang design ng kwarto ko. I saw the wardrobe. I sighed. I need to fix my clothes.

Inayos ko na ang damitan ko dito sa wardrobe dito at habang ginagawa ko ito, nagtatanong ako kay Tesla.

"How is Jaden doing?"

"He is still sleeping. Shall I wake him up?"

"Nah. Let him sleep. And the others?" Mas okay ng tulog si Jaden. Walang magulo.

Pinatulog muna kasi kami ni Tesla dahil nga may jet lag kami.

"I am currently waking them up. So far, Savannah, Andrei, Jaden and the kids are still asleep"

Napangisi ako dun. "Buhusan mo ng tubig si Savannah at Andrei at nang magising. They are the heavy sleepers of the group. Kapag nagalit, bigyan mo na lang ng cake." natatawa kong sabi.

"Are you serious Hayden?" ramdam ko ang pagtataka sa boses ni Tesla.

"Fuck yeah. I am. Do it now." sabi ko habang natatawa.

"You're so nice." sarcastic sa sabi ni Tesla.

"I know right." sabi ko at tsaka pinasok ang maleta ko sa malaking space sa baba ng wardrobe.

"Question. If I'm going to talk to the earpiece, shall I address it with the name Tesla? You said I can customize it." I asked her while I am roaming around this big room. Opening and closing drawers. Exploring everything.

"No. You can even change its name and gender. Just tell me"

"Okay. I'm changing it to male and name it, Hydra." pumasok ako sa CR at napataas ang kilay ko sa ganda. I'm impressed.

"Hydra, it is. It is now activated."

"Thanks."

"Who designed this house?" tanong ko at tsaka nahiga sa kama.

"All the house that is owned by Sir Ivan is designed by CeeJay." Napatayo ako dun.

"CeeJay? As in Sir Flammel's secretary?!" gulat na tanong ko.

"Yes."

CeeJay became Sir Flammel's secretary ever since he handled School of Neoplatonic. CeeJay's identity is still unknown. Walang may alam kung saan siya nakatira o saan siya ipinanganak. Hindi ko nga din alam kung anong surname niya. Kung gaano kasikat at kakilala si Sir Flammel, ganun din ang secretary nitong si CeeJay. She always communicates on chat.

Another fact about CeeJay is that she doesn't go with Sir Flammel during his transactions unlike all other secretaries. CeeJay works for him in the dark and helped Sir Flammel without being seen. No one even knows if CeeJay is a girl or a boy. Madaming nagsasabi na lalaki, madami ring nagsasabi na babae. Ang tanging nakakaalam lang ay si Sir Flammel mismo.

To think of it, Sir Flammel is very mysterious. He managed to make tons of known companies in the world in less than 5 years. Tsaka bata pa siya. Is he that talented and smart? But based on our live call in the plane, he looks... normal. I was not intimidated. Para siyang hindi businessman kung magsalita. Hindi din siya gan'on kaseryoso tulad ng sinasabi ng lahat dahil lagi siyang nakangiti nung kausap namin siya. He even crack jokes!
