thirty: guards change

Hero's Pov

I let the warm water relax my muscles and wash away all the sweat and dirt away.

I didn't thought that her boss could came here and check her out. Now I get when she told me that she really is like a daughter to him and his wife.
I was kinda nice to me.
Every time that I think about a boss that owns a successful publishing house like HarperCollins I think about a ride and cruel boss but he doesn't seems like this at all.

I wrap a towel around my waist while I take another to rub on my hair and dry them.
When I walk out of the foggy bathroom I start to walk to my bedroom but when I place my right hand on the handle I recognize two voices coming from the living room.
So I walk to the living room and then I see him.
What the fuck is he doing here?
There was Christian and now Nathan is here?
What are they doing? Changing of the guard?

I see Josephine look at me but then when her eyes slides down to my naked torso she stops talking and Nathan turns in my way.
I never saw him dressed like this.
He is wearing a large hoodie and sweatpants.
And I thought that he was going to sleep wearing a smoking.
"Hey man." Nathan says accentuating a smile on my lips.
"Hello. I'm going to put something on, keep doing what you two was doing." I say and Jo looks at me strangely.

I walk to my room and I try hardly to not slam the door.

What is he doing here?
He doesn't see her for a day and he needs to come here?
He can't check on her with a message or a video call? Nowadays we have so many struments to use to check on a person.
The quality of the video calls nowadays are incredible. 

When I hear the main door close I walk back to the living room.
"Hey." she says showing me a big smile.
I can't stay bad at her.
"Hey. It seems that everybody is missing you at work. Also Scarlett complained." I say sa she comes closer and stands right in front of me.
"And I miss work. Thank God that I can work at home for now." she says crossing her arms to her chest.
Is she cold?
"Jo it's been only a day away from your office." I make her notice rolling my eyes.
"I know! I just need to work and I miss my office." she says defending herself.
She loves her work.
"I can get that. Your office is stunning. Better than Scar's office." I say and then her eyes are back on me.
"Wait, you been in her office?" she asks a bit suspicious about it.
I don't know what she's thinking about.
"Yeah sometimes I used to bring her the lunch." I say and she nods.

She pulls her hair up in a messy bun without using an hair tie.
How she did it?
"How you felt during the day?" I ask caressing her foreword my fingertips.
Every time that I'm with her I feel the necessity to touch her and taste the softness of her skin.
I never in my life I felt attracted like this from a girl.
I use to drink a lot when I'm with my friends and all the girls that I've kissed are just that little flirts that starts in night clubs.
I was hanging out with a girl long time ago but it last like two weeks.
I really forgot how was touch a girl like this.
Touch someone and let so many feelings and emotions start inside of you.

I look at her open lips.
She's feeling the touch.
"Better but of course Christian doesn't wants me to be back at work so he gave me other two days off." she complains so I get closer to her and wrap my arms a rough her neck and she slowly does the same wrapping them around my waistline.
Feel the warm of her body next to mine feels incredible.
Only now I started to realise how not okay I was till I got to met her and move here.
My past weeks been more than amazing.
Just have a your own place and have no parents or siblings around feels so amazing but having Jo around is amazing.

God I'm really into her.
I wasn't tasting this feeling of being not in love but interested in someone in a while. I think from my last year of school.
And cohabitate with a girl specially it makes the cohabitation more interesting and of course they all are so tidy and complaining about everything but it's better than live with some random guy.

"What you did all day?" I ask.
"Worked and listened to some podcasts." she says and she seems a bit bored.
"If you want I can ask if I can my day off and put it for tomorrow so you'll not feel that lonely.
I'm really scared about her feeling lonely.
I remember that night when I found her sobbing in her tears.
"Oh don't worry, Scar has her day off and she said that she was going to come here." she says still glued to me while her body is between mine and the couch back.
"Alright. Let's eat something and then you want watch a movie?" I ask leaning back and then let my arms slide away from her.
"Yes! What type of movies do you like?" she asks happy like a kid in a toy store.
"To be honest, I have a really bad movie knowledge." I say.
She looks at me confused while I taking the chicken breast out of the fridge.
"I think I never saw the classic films that everyone saw." I say.
"Really? Tell me some examples." she asks sitting on the stools near to the kitchen counter.
"Like I never saw 'The notebook', 'Nothing Hill', 'Hunger Games', 'Me Before You'.." i day and then I check on her face and she is literally disbelief.
"I know that is terrible to hear." I say starting to cut the meat.
"We have to change this." she says smiling to me.
Move here was my best decision ever.
