thirty-nine: No Australia for Christmas

Josephine's Pov

Today is so hard for me concentrate on my work. I'm freaking excited. My really first date.
I hope everything will be perfect because I'm the one that wants that her first time in everything go smoothly because I'm such a romantic person. I use to romanticise things.
I look at the clock and finally is time to leave.

When I stand up from the chair my phone buzzes on the desk glass.
So after I stand up I put on my jacket, take my bag and then I grab my phone .
I look at the display while I'm walking on the hallway.

Hero🦒: Good morning! Are you still sure that you don't want me to come to pick you up?

How cute is this?

"Oh her you're!" I her Nathan's voice.
So I turn in Nathan direction.
I see him walk in my direction earring a white shirt with and a brown jacket.
He looks classy as always.
"Hey, what's up?" I ask while he is hugging me and place his chin on my head.
"Everything okay. So happy to have you back. I missed you." he says letting me walk into the elevator first.
"Missed you too." I say smiling at him.
"Do you wanna hang out together tonight? We can go to the cinema." he proposed euphorically and then I feel bad.
"I'm sorry Nath but tonight I have plans..." I say trying to be the nicest possible.
His eyebrows furrows and his lips curls.
"Really? with Scar?" he asks curious.
I shake my head.
"No with Hero." I say and then when I say his name his eyes go wide.
"Your roommate?" he asks disbelief.
Trust me Nath I'm also surprised as you.
"Yeah." I say so awkwardly.
" Oh so, you two are a thing now?" he asks with a wired voice tone.
"No. I mean, not yet. We want to know each other well before that." I say messing up.
He asks me these things that I also don't know how to answer.
"Oh. So have fun." he says looking down to me.
"Thanks. For the cinema we can do in a weekend. It's fine for you?" I ask so sorry about the weird tension that I created.
I can understand his being surprised.
"Yeah of course." he says while I'm texting back to Hero.

It's more good evening lol.
Don't worry about it, I can
come to your work place on
my own.

The messages takes a while to send because of the elevator.
When the door opens I see Scar waiting for me.
"Oh hey!" I say surprisingly and hugging her.
"Hey. Hi Nath." she says noticing when Nathan walks out.
"Hi! I have to go bye girls see you tomorrow!" he says waving at us.

"Hey. So, are you ready for the date?" she asks stepping back and looking at my face.
"I'm a bit nervous. I don't know what to put on." I say panicking a bit.
She smiles at me.
"Don't worry, you don't have to be that classy. Come on, let's go and get you ready." she says taking my hand and guiding me to the car.

During the car drive I look up to Pinterest for some inspiration for the look.

When we get home Scar take seat on the couch eating some Hero's favorite chips.

"Jo. Chill okay? Remember that is the guy that you live with. You two basically know both each other already." Scar says rolling her eyes.
"I know it but it sills a date. Alright, I'm going to pick my outfit and then you'll say If it okay or not." I say standing up from the couch and walk to my bedroom.

I already have the picture of my outfit in my head so I go straight to the dress that looks more like a big jumper and then I put a bet around my torso so it looks more like a dress.
I put some black but clear thighs to cover a bit my legs from the cold and my black Dr. Martens.
It seems that I have to go to a funeral but it's okay, I love black. I'll not put nothing black on my make up.
I look at myself kinda proud of the outfit that I created.
I walk out and then I reach Scar that is watching something on my plaptop.
"Holy shit. You look stunning." she says with her eyes wide open and her lips open.
"Oh thank you. So that's an okay?" I ask.
"Jo is more than okay. You literally have to give me some style lessons." she says still running her eyes all over my body.
I keep a laugh.
"Alright now let's go to do your make up and hair." she says standing up from the sofa.
"Scar if you have other things to do I don't want to keep you here." I say while we're walking to my bedroom.
"Oh don't worry, I don't have nothing to do and Hero also beg me to give you a ride." she confesses and then I look at her on the mirror.
Her eyes are so honest.
He really beg her? God this guy is stealing me every freaking time. He says that he is inexperienced but his moves are so well done.
