fourty-one: the other side of the river

Josephine's Pov

"Scar, it was more than perfect. It felt like a movie, I'm not kidding." I say sighing thinking at last night and feeling his lips on mine.
It really felt like a movie. I still can feel his warm breath on my skin and his fingertips running all over my skin.
"God you should look at yourself right now. You seems daydreaming." she says giggling but also so euphoric listening at me.
"God I'm so happy. Hero needed someone on his side. Now, I just have to listen at him." she says.
"You didn't talked to him yet?" I ask surprised. They always tell each other everything quickly.
She shakes her head.
"Now my only fear is that we start to act weird." I confess I say and her lips and forehead furrows immediately.
"What the heck are you saying?" she asks.
"I mean... I don't know." I say not finding the words to describe my fear.
"Jo it's not going to be awkward at all. Trust me. I mean you two are freaking roommates!" she reminds me again.
I open my mouth to reply to her but then I see Nathan coming in our direction.
His eyes, behind his reading glasses, are already on mine so I smile and wave to him. Scar confused turns back and then she finds Nath at one feet from her.
"Hey girls." he says with handing a black tray with his lunch on it.
He sits on the chair behind Scar in front of me.
"Hi." I say.
"How are you Nath?" Scar asks him kindly.
"I'm good. You two?" he asks looking at us.
"Fine." we both say.
"Jo are you free tonight? Let's go to watch 'Last Christmas'." he says talking about the movie that just came out with one of my favorite actress, Emilia Clarke, and we talked about how much we both love Christmas.
I can't say no this time. I already took that offer down yesterday.
While I'm about to open my mouth, I look on his right and see Scars eyes wide open with her furrowed forehand and her head leaning to the side.
She's not happy about this.
I look back at Nathan, who is waiting for answer looking at me.
"I'm free. Let's do that." I say and he immediately smiles lifting the corner of his thin lips and showing his white teeth.
"Alright you two, I have to go guys." I say looking at them both and I see Scar ready to follow me till my office.
"So see you later and see you tonight." I say looking at Scar and then Nathan.
Nathan nods enthusiastic.
I smile and then I take my phone from the white lunch table, stand up carefully trying to make no noise with the chair and walk till the elevator.
I know what Scar is thinking.
I don't need to hear her telling me that Hero will not be happy about it, I know it already.
He doesn't like Nathan for no reason but beca of that I can't stop hanging out with my only friend here.
Like he have his friend I also deserve to have friends so he have to accept that.

Hero's Pov

I'm sitting on one of the many plastic chairs with my lags open and my arms at my chest.
Today is pretty colder. We're getting into the real December weather. I'm not a big fan of the winter, I like more the sunny days but I'm okay with the classic London weather.
The skin of my hands are so dry and my lips are all cracked. I should put on chapstick more often like Jo does. She is obsessed.

The boys came to make me some company because there is no costumers and I was bored.
They're talking about go to ice skating after I get off work. It's a while from the last time that I ice skated but I'm pretty good at it.
Once you know how to balance on the skates is easy. I'm wondering if Jo knows how to ice skate. I don't think that she knows, I mean she Australian... But I think that if she tries, she'll be good at it.
She told me that she knows how to surf that also requires so much balance so I think she will be good at it.
Why everything I think about I put Jo into that? I'm literally obsessed with that girl.
I can't stop thinking about last night.
Everything went so smoothly!
I discovered so many things about her.
God the way she started to talk about Christmas was crazy. Now I can understand why her books are all centered in love stories because she is such a romantic person, she romanticize things.
Tomorrow is her day off and I really can't wait to go to the mall with her, every occasion for spend time only with her I'll take it.
I never felt this good in my life.
Since I moved to the apartment it's like I just turned a new page and the fact that I'm dating Josephine make me feel more better because the thought and feeling of being loved and be in love is such a great feeling.
Yeah I said that... I'm slowly falling in love with her that's why I'm getting so jealous.
"So bro what you had to do last night?" Alex asks biting his cheesy burrito, waking me up from my thoughts.
I shake a bit my head and then when I look up I find everybody with the hats and hoods on their heads. They all are looking at me.
"Yeah, why you couldn't come with us?" Valand asks looks at me so curiously.
They don't know about Josephine and the date thing jet. The only one that knows that is Felix because he is like a brother to me. That doesn't mean that I don't love the rest of the group, I mean they all are also my brothers but they are more like best friends to me and I wanted to make sure that everything went well before tell them about it.
"Scar!" Felix yells from my left side giving me a little tap with his elbow and then I see her.
My eyes lands on Jo.
In the exact moment when my eyes lands on hers that are behind her glasses that make her look more cute then usually my minds reminds me the feeling of her lips on mine and the sound of her withheld moan into my mouth.
Shit I can't. I let my eyes go Dow and I look at her outfit and I immediately understand that she just got off work.
