~ The blood on my hands that you see, cannot be washed away so easily...~
...............
Heather POV
..............."Mama, save me..."
I widened my eyes, forgetting how to breathe as I collapsed. Time stood still and everything went silent. Even for the glass that shattered on the floor in front of me.
"Baby, how am I supposed to save you." I clutched the ground, ignoring the shards of glass digging into my flesh.
Red poured from my palms, mixing with the brown of the faux wood. It spilled out of me, but I didn't care. The only thing on my mind was my kitten. Her sweet smile. Loving nature. And how she was cruelly stolen from me.
How? How do I save her if she went home? I wish I could save her. I want so badly to save her. But how do I do that? There's no way. None at all, that I could go to the fairy realm. Was there?
A single tear warmed my cheek as it continued it's journey to the ground. "Hopea..."
It plopped and mixed with my blood with a light plip. And then three more plips sounded. Plip, plip, plip.
The blood rippled. Shimmering and reflecting my face. Was blood supposed to be this shiny? I could see myself so clearly. The pain etched on my face was something I didn't want to see.
Splashing it with my hand and looking away. I grimaced as the air suddenly became electrically charged.
Sparkles erupted before my blood exploded like a bomb. Covering the walls, the floor, and me.
The ensuing shockwave sent me flying backward against the couch.
"Aughhh!" I cried out as I hit. Sliding down and slumping against the soft fabric.
"Hwahahaha!" A light, and yet, sinister laugh echoed throughout the room. The walls seemed to shake. Vibrating with unknown force.
My blood swirled upward from the ground like a double helix reaching for the sky, before forming into the shape of a woman.
Her skin black as night and eyes as red as my blood. Though, to say she was beautiful, was an understatement.
My breath was taken away at how perfectly formed she was.
An hourglass shape with soft curves in all the right areas. Her face was a heart with wide eyes, a dainty nose, and a perfect Cupid's bow. All hidden underneath the side bangs of her long and flowing black hair.
"I am a pixie." Her voice was powerful but low and seductive.
This was a pixie!? Did all pixies look like three dimensional shadows? And, were they all this beautiful and deadly looking?
"...You summoned me, little human?" She stepped forward with practiced grace.
"Guuuh!" I heated up. "Where are her clothes!?" Either she was wearing skin tight clothing, or she wasn't wearing any at all.
She snickered. "You didn't answer my question."
"Oh! Um... I guess...?" My voice went higher at the end. How and why did I summon her?
"You guess?" She leaned forward. Pulling my face up to look her in the eyes. "Hmm." She frowned with a tilted head.
She then blinked and drew back. Laughing behind the back of her hand. "A fairy's partner! You of all people should realize that you shouldn't summon a pixie!"
