"Eeeeeek!"

"Huh? Wha...!?"

A loud ear piercing shriek woke me from my slumber. I had been sleeping on the couch, after having drunk three beers. But upon hearing the scream, I shot into a sitting position and looked around. My eyes still heavy and blurry with sleep.

Where was I? Who was screaming?

The tv was playing static, so it couldn't have been that. So who then?

"Arrrgh!" A frustrated growl came from the bedroom.

"What the?" I stretched with a yawn. "I guess I better go and see what that is..." Mumbling under my breath, I stood up and wandered toward the bedroom.

Oh yeah, her. The pixie. Wait... Why is there a pixie in my bed? I blinked at her. She scowled at me while clutching the blanket tightly to her naked chest.

"You!" Her face puffed out in anger as she jabbed a finger in my direction. "How dare you!? I will never forgive you!"

"Hmm? What did I do?" I was still clueless at what happened and why she was so mad.

"You forced me into a blood pact!" Her emotion shifted from anger to sadness as she drooped. Slumping forward and nibbling at her lip.

Pink tinted her cheeks as she trembled. Not looking at me.

Wanting to comfort her, I sat on the bed beside her. She slid away from me.

"You're alright."

She shook her head stubbornly. "Mmhmmh!"

"Talk to me, please. I don't even know what's going on." I tried to maintain an even and gentle tone. So as not to scare her.

She rolled her eyes and the. gave me a deadpan serious look. "You kissed me, and then I was supposed to grant you a wish. Wait...!?" Her eyes widened in horror as if she just realized something. "...Wh-What was your wish?"

"I just wanted my Hopea back." I answered. Unnerved by the question. Did I have something to do with this?

Tears were in her eyes as she slumped again. Gazing off into a void.

"Then you..." She sighed, looked down, and then looked me in the eye. Her were filled with determination. "Will you release me if we find her?"

"I guess so. But I don't know how or why this happened in the first place."

"...Our deal backfired. I guess it was your wish was for me to help you find her." She facepalmed with a self deprecating smile. Her large gossamer wings spreading out and vibrating.

Guiltily, I pulled her close. "Hey now, you don't have to cry..." My voice went gentler as I held her.

She nodded. No tears fell, but I could tell. Her lips trembled and eyebrows twitched as she held them back.

"Listen, um..."

What should I call her?

"I don't have a name." She answered curtly.

"Do all fey not have names?"

"No."

"Then what should I call you?"

"Dunno."

"Well dunno, it's nice to meet you I guess."

She blushed hotly. Her bronzed flesh going a deeper shade of gold.
