Dear Prim,
I'm here, you know? Where we once lived together. When we were just two girls fighting for a little bread.
Well, it's not really the same since everything is just ash.
We all are.
You, because you're somewhere I can't follow you.
Mom, because she never really was here after Dad's death.
Peeta, because Capitol changed him and he won't ever be the same again.
Haymitch, because he may be getting over his drinking problem, but nightmares are hard to forget.
Gale, because he won't ever be able to forgive himself for what he has done to you.
Me, because I'm not fire anymore, I'm just a broken girl who is thought to be fearless, but who instead can't even look at the Meadow without crying her heart out.
What have I done, Prim?
I lost the ones I loved for what? Peace?
There won't be peace here, never. Not in this place.
Not where so many people died, where the fallen ones were so many that the loss will be felt for generations.
I'll find peace where I'll be able to forget everything, even my name: because Katniss Everdeen died the day you left.
I wish you could read this, but I'll just burn it like every other time.
Don't be mad little duck, I'll be okay for them, for your niece and nephew.
But I can't look at them and fake everything is fine, because it isn't. I'll explain them someday, somehow, what I feel. Today's not just the day.
Take care,
Katniss

"Did you like it? This was my first request and I'm happy you asked me :)
Hope you enjoyed!
