**Nene's POV**

Finally, the school year is almost over, it's the last day of school. Despite the crazy things happening between the group throughout the year, we're all best friends! But, recently one of us, to be specific, Amane-kun. I don't know why, but I hope he still wants to be friends. Maybe it's my legs. Maybe it's the fact that I'm eating breakfast in the Yugi residence. I spent the night the Yugis so I could escape the hospital and attend the last day of school.

"Amane, can we go to school now? Ao-chan texted that she needs us, quickly." Tsukasa-kun was eating breakfast faster than light.

"Sure, Tsukasa." Amane-kun was picking at his doughnuts, his doughnuts.

"Nene-chan, you ready?" Tsukasa-kun asked me, he was almost jumping up and down, beaming with joy.

"Of course!" I said, getting up.

I noticed my backpack and clothes sitting on the couch. I really appreciate the Yugis. Even though they were classified as horrible people from Sakura-san, everyone deserves a second chance. Plus, they're probably angels compared to what she does.

"Thank you for getting my stuff from home, which ever one of you did it, I'm still extremely thankful." I said, smiling from ear to ear.

"It was Amane." Tsukasa-kun said, trying to be cool.

"Thanks, Amane-kun." I exclaimed.

"Yeah, yeah." He said, a nervous sparkle in his eyes.

Why is he so nervous? He never is, usually calm and collected. Sometimes even genuinely happy, guess you learn something new everyday. Maybe he'll tell me at school.

"Let's go!" Tsukasa-kun grabbed me and Amane-kun's wrists and ran to the school, giggling like tea was spilled.

"What's up with Tsukasa-kun today..?" I muttered.

We arrived at the school, Tsukasa-kun let go of me and Amane-kun's wrists and I looked at mine, Tsukasa-kun sure has a good grip. I looked up to see Mei-chan and Ao-chan running to us.

"Guess what?!~" Ao-chan grabbed my hands hopping up and down, I just smiled.

"What, Ao-chan?" I replied.

"The school announced a last second prom!~" Ao-chan jumped up and down more and Mei-chan even smiled a bit.

I didn't share their feelings. I'm a daikon, a useless, lonely daikon. No one loves me and no one will. I don't even listen to the rumors involving love because I get so jealous.

"Is something wrong, Nene-chan..?" Tsukasa-kun leaned over facing me, next to Ao-chan.

"E-Eh?! No, no, everything's fine!" I quickly raised my hands up a bit and shook them, hoping to indicate nothing was wrong.

I saw Amane-kun mutter something, but I couldn't make out what it was. Just the same old nervous glance from earlier. What's wrong with him?

"Who're you going with, Ao-chan?" I asked, breaking the conversation away from me.

"Oh, I'm going with Akane-kun, I'm giving him a chance to impress me." Ao-chan giggled.

The life of a popular girl. Always getting asked out by guys, especially someone over-obsessed.

"What about you, Mei-chan?" I asked, looking at her.

"I'm their third wheel." Mei-chan smiled.

"We can go as friends so you aren't lonely, Mei-chan." Tsukasa-kun offered.

"Sure." Mei-chan shrugged.

"Do you have a date, Nene-chan?" Tsukasa-kun looked at me, hop firing up in his eyes.

"No, and it's okay." I replied.

"Okay, we should head to school I guess." Tsukasa-kun's eyes went to normal, excitement and determination.

"Yeah." Everyone agreed, except Amane-kun, like always he nodded.

Even when we all got in out classes, Amane-kun looked off. He was staring out the nearest window, playing with his shirt in a nervous manner. Why is he so nervous? Then, the teacher came in.

"Class, who has heard about the last day of school prom?" The teacher asked everyone to raise their hands if they had a date.

Me and Amane-kun both didn't raise our hands, which didn't shock me. Both of us are outcasts compared to the other kids. Rumors spread about Amane-kun, and my daikon legs.

"Hey, Daikon-san doesn't have a date, how shocking!" A kid laughed.

Then it happened, everyone started picking on me, except the teacher and Amane-kun.

A kid then stepped out of the picking on me.

"Yugi has company at least, another outcast!" A boy, Yamabuki Lemon said.

"Shut up!" Amane-kun's voice boomed throughout the classroom, causing kids to be so shocked they backed away.

They might've just angered a beast... Not just an ordinary one though, my beast, my friend. Not a beast.

Amane-kun stood up, climbing onto his chair.

"Stop making fun of people based on nasty rumors! Normal people believe half-lies so easily, it always annoys me. You're hurting people's feelings on purpose, angering mother nature. It'll cause the worst of luck to all of you, better known as karma. Nene-chan didn't choose for her legs to be like that, and looks don't matter! It's the personality that counts! Outcasts or not, you should treat everyone evenly." Amane-kun looked at me, partially smiling at the end.

I stood up and applauded Amane-kun for his speech, causing a chain reaction of other kids doing the same, while some still booed.

"Amane-kun is right, judging someone by their cover isn't right. Despite looking or being different from the normal crowd isn't as bad as I thought. That just means we're different, special even. Different from the bullies out in the world like you." I said, supporting Amane-kun.

-After Class, Before Lunch-

"Hey, Nene-chan!" I heard a voice behind me.

"Amane-kun, what is it?" I turned my head curiously.

"Will you meet me under the big tree in the back of the school? I promise it'll be quick." Amane-kun fake-smiled. I hate it when he does that, but he has something important to tell me.

"Of course, Amane-kun!" I exclaimed.

"Meet me there in five minutes, then." Amane-kun smiled, then walked off.

I wondered what he needed to tell me. I walked out to the back part of the school, passing the garden seeing a large, beautiful tree. Why would he choose here to tell me something? I saw Amane-kun standing there, pacing nervously.

"Amane-kun!" I waved.

He jumped, turned around and gave a worried smile waving back.

I ran over to Amane-kun.

"What do you need?" I panted.

"I-I have a question." Amane-kun looked at me, a serious gaze.

"What is it?" I tilted my head to the side.

"W-Will you be my girlfriend, Nene-chan and go to prom with me?" He closed his eyes  waiting for rejection.

He just asked me out...
