Chapter 8

Lauren POV
I woke up and Kelianne was still asleep. I barely slept last night. I looked at the time and it was 7:45am. I groaned.

I saw that Tayler had posted another tiktok from the pool last night. They all looked cuddled up. I rolled my eyes. A lot of fans were still commenting 'I ship Tayler with Lauren' all over his social media.

I grabbed my phone and AirPods and quietly snuck out of the house. I couldn't be here anymore. I couldn't remember the last time I was happy, truly happy. It feels like all I've done recently is cry and be heart broken over a boy who was never mine. I needed some space from the house. I don't know where I was going to go but I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Tayler POV
I had just finished my workout with some of the boys. All of a sudden Addison, Charli and Kelianne all came rushing in. They looked panicked about something.

"Have any of you guys seen or spoken to Lauren today?" Addison asked, trying to catch her breath. "No, why?" I asked. "She's gone." Charli said. "What do you mean she's gone?" Tony asked, confused. "She's nowhere in the house and she's not answering her phone." Charli said, she looked really worried. "She's probably gone to meet some friends." Nate said, trying to reassure the girls. "She only knows us and the sway boys I think." I said.

I was starting to get really worried. This is not like Lauren at all. She has been acting really weird recently. She hasn't spent any time with me, we've barely talked, and last night she left the pool without saying anything.

The boys saw how worried I was. "She'll be fine Tayler. She's probably gone out for some fresh air." Ondreaz said, giving me a sympathy smile. I shrugged. I didn't believe him. I will be so hurt if something has happened to Lauren.

Throughout the day we were all texting and ringing Lauren but no one has had a response. Everyone was really worried about her.

Sommer was at the house today but I couldn't stop thinking about Lauren. "Baby do you want a cuddle?" She asked, wrapping her arms around me. I wasn't in the mood at the minute. I needed to know Lauren was safe. "Not right now." I replied. "Tay." She whined. "Sorry babe. I'm just worried about Lauren that's all." I kissed her cheek. "She's a big girl. She doesn't need you worrying about her." She said blankly. "She's my best friend Sommer." "I know she likes you Tayler." She blurted out. I felt my jaw drop. "No she doesn't." I denied. "I've seen the way she looks at you. Don't deny that you look at her the same way too." She said. "You're being silly." Sommer rolled her eyes and walked away.

Sommer had me thinking. Did I like Lauren? I've grown up with her and don't get me wrong I have thought she was attractive. I mean look at her. She's grown into such a beautiful and talented girl. I never thought she would like me back. I was scared to tell her my feelings in case I scared her off. I've lost her once, I couldn't lose her again.

I just need to know that Lauren is safe.
