Chapter 13

Lauren POV
I walked in the house and joined the others out by the pool. "Hey look who's back." Addison smiled. I gave her a hug. "So how was today?" Tony asked. "It was amazing. One of the best first dates I've had in a long time." I gushed. Everyone's faces dropped. Tayler walked off. He looked pissed off. "What's with him?" I asked.

No one said a word.

"Tony?" "He dumped Sommer and he wanted to talk to you about some stuff." He said. My jaw dropped. I can't believe he ended things with her. "What stuff?" "It's not my place to say." Tony said, giving me a sympathetic smile. "Fine I'll speak to Tayler."

I walked upstairs to Tayler's room. I knocked on the door and it was silent. "Tayler it's me." "Go away." He yelled. "Tayler please open the door." I begged. He opened the door and he was crying. "I don't want to talk about it." He said, wiping his tears away. "I know about you splitting up with Sommer. I'm so sorry." He looked down. "Yeah well I knew that wouldn't work out since I like another girl."

I felt my heart racing. I can't believe he likes someone else. Great. Now I definitely don't stand a chance.

"Oh yeah? Why don't you go and get her? She'll be a lucky girl." I said, forcing a smile. "Because she went on a date with Blake today."

I froze. He likes me. I couldn't speak. I wanted to but no words were coming out. Tayler took my silence as a bad sign. "It's whatever." He shut the door on me.

I said nothing. How could I be so stupid. I collapsed on the floor, crying. "I like you too." I said softly, before walking back to my room.

Kelianne walked in. "There you are. How did it go with Tayler?" She asked. I looked at her and she knew by the way I looked that it didn't go well. "Oh Lauren I'm so sorry." She said, hugging me. "He confessed he liked me and I didn't say anything. He looked so hurt K." I cried.

"What are you going to do now? What about Blake?" She asked. "I can't be with Blake right now, it's not the right time for us." I wiped my tears. "He's going to be so hurt." I felt my heart break knowing how happy Blake is with me. "It'll all work out, I promise." "I hope you're right." I sighed. "Do you want to come and see the girls?" She asked. I shook my head. "I just want to be alone." Kelianne hugged me one last time. "If you need anything you know where I am." I smiled as she left the room.

Tayler POV
I knew telling Lauren how I felt about her would end in chaos and heartache. I've just lost my best friend.

Tony came in my room. "Hey bro, I heard it didn't go well." He gave me a sympathetic look. I shook my head. "She didn't say a word. She stayed silent." "Tayler she was probably shocked. She never expected you to confess your feelings to her." Tony said. "She's probably going to stay with Blake. Why am I the one who's never someone's first choice." I groaned and threw my head back on my bed. "Talk to her tomorrow. Tayler, you guys can't fall out because of this." Tony said. I stayed silent.

"I'll leave you alone for a while. Just don't cut her out of your life. You know you'll regret it if you do." He said before leaving.

This was not how it was supposed to happen.
