"Sa hospital po ba ang diretso nyo Doc Millie? But I would like to remind you that you have an appointment in our clinic later this afternoon.." Brenda my secretary said on the other line.

Umagang-umaga ay natataranta na agad ito. I can't blame her thou. It's been 3 months since I left. Dahil sa dami ng nakaschedule ay ito ang gumawa ng paraan para hindi masira ang pangalan ng clinic sa mga kliyente. She's hard-working and committed to her job. Bihira na lamang ang makahanap ng mga taong ganun.

"Who is it again?" I sighed

"Mayor Franco po Doc."

Ang mayor na sinasabi nito ay ang mayor na laging bumisita sa clinic. His health is perfectly fine, palagi ko iyong sinasabi sa kanya. But he still insist to come and let me check him. Sa isang buwan ay halos nakakalimang punta ito roon.

"How did he know that I'm home?" I furrowed my eyebrows. Nagsimula na rin akong mag-ayos ng sarili. I don't want to be late on my first day. Lalo pa at magmamaneho ako ngayong araw. I need time to do that. I keep the phone on its loudspeaker.

Pagbukas ko ng closet ay kumuha na ng damit roon. I should wear a formal one lalo pa at kakausapin ako ng board at tatagpuin ang ilang pasyente.

"I don't know Doc. He just called and said he wanted to have an appointment with you. He also said that it's been 3 months since his last check-up... Hay naku Doktora, gusto lamang noong makita kayo.." I heard her laugh.

"Stop it, Brenda.. Hindi ko nakikita ang sarili kong nakikipagdate sa pasyente ko.." I said in a serious tone.

"Oo nga Doc. Kay Doc Seth na lamang.. Bagay na bagay.."

"Sa hospital muna ako Brenda. Tell me the whole schedule for today."

Habang sinasabi nito ang mga meeting ko ay nag-ayos na rin ako.

I love my new hair. Ngayon lamang ako nakagpagupit ng ganitong kaikli. Hindi ko akalain na babagay ito sa akin. Naitatali ko pa naman iyon ng kaunti kaya okay lamang iyon pag may operation. I'm excited to see my friend's reaction. Hindi pa nila nakikita ito dahil kahapon lamang ako nagpagupit. I bet they assume that I'm resting the whole day yesterday.

It was a wavy light brown bob just below my chin. I paired it with a Yilda chiffon blouse and cropped pants. Nagsuot lamang ako ng 2 inch beige stilleto. I got my signature bag.

"Got it, Brenda. I need to go. I'll call you later." I said while walking outside my condo unit.

"Magdadrive ka Doktora?" may pag-aalinlangan sa boses nito.

Relax Millie. It's been a year, you can do it. Hindi pwedeng hindi mo iyon haharapin. The time will come that you need to face it. Hindi mo iyon matatakasan.

I breathe in and out. I relax my self and sat in the driver's seat. My ford mustang is safe and new. Kaya hindi ka nito ipapahamak.
